#U.S. spot Ethereum ETFs pulled in $225.8 million on Thursday — their strongest session since October 2025. Nine consecutive days of net inflows since August 17 have now totalled $1.42 billion.
🔸 BlackRock's ETHA: $1.02 billion over nine sessions, 72% of the category total, no day missed. 🔸 Fidelity's FETH: best day of the run on Thursday at $56.2 million. 🔸 U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs took $242.3 million the same day — just $16.5 million more than Ethereum.
Ethereum was near $2,477 on Friday, up around 5% on the week. Bitwise Europe's Max Shannon attributes the inflows to rising risk appetite in traditional markets, and notes that a pickup in spot volume — currently at its 16th percentile year-on-year — is needed to sustain the move, per Decrypt.
Michael Saylor has signaled a potential Bitcoin purchase by Strategy, which would be the firm's first acquisition in roughly two months. The hint comes as Bitcoin rebounded from Friday's lows and approached $79,000.
Bitcoin dominance climbed above 60% alongside the recovery, while Strategy's market valuation expanded as the price moved higher. Saylor has previously used similar public signals ahead of confirmed purchases disclosed in regulatory filings.
🏦 Trump's Crypto Bank Gets Federal Charter — With UAE's 'Spy Sheikh' on Board
WLTC Holdings just secured a federal banking charter from the OCC — and its single largest shareholder, at 49%, is Sheikh Tahnoon bin Zayed al Nahyan, the UAE's national security advisor and brother of its president, via StringZ Holding RSC. The Trump family holds 38%.
The OCC granted the charter on August 14. A foreign intelligence chief owning the plurality of a federally chartered #U.S. crypto bank is, to put it mildly, an unusual arrangement.
Uniswap deployed on Robinhood Chain has reached an all-time high in stock-token trading volume, processing roughly $130 million in daily transactions — nearly ten times the level recorded a month ago.
The surge reflects growing on-chain activity tied to tokenized traditional financial assets on Robinhood's chain infrastructure, marking a notable acceleration in the intersection of DeFi liquidity and equity-linked tokens.
$BTC is limping into the weekend around $78,000 — stuck in no-man's land between $77,000 support and $80,000 resistance after getting slapped back from an $81,000+ high on Aug. 28. Neither bulls nor bears have closed the argument yet.
A confirmed break below $77,000 opens the door to the mid-$75,000s. Flip $80,000 back, and the Aug. 28 high near $81,300 — plus the $82,000–$83,000 zone beyond it — comes back into view. For now, BTC is doing its best impression of a coin that can't make up its mind.

#LayerZero is best known as a cross-chain messaging protocol widely used across DeFi applications. The move into exchange infrastructure signals a broader ambition within its ecosystem.

🟠 $BTC rebounds to $80K in its strongest rally in three years
Bitcoin returned to $80,000 this week, posting its strongest rally in over three years, though traders were unable to sustain momentum above $82,000.
Federal Reserve Chair Kevin Warsh applied pressure on risk assets with hawkish commentary, weighing on broader crypto markets. Meanwhile, a Solana ETF crossed $1 billion in assets, marking a significant milestone for altcoin-based exchange-traded products in the U.S.
The week's moves came against a backdrop of ongoing macro uncertainty, with Fed policy remaining a key variable for crypto price action heading into the next quarter.
An attacker hit Avici, a Solana-based neobank, draining over $1 million from user card balances in an ongoing attack. The malicious wallet held 10,005 SOL at time of reporting — and was still pulling funds. Avici's response? A vague acknowledgment of "an issue affecting card balance withdrawals," issued nearly two hours after the first drain transaction. Not exactly a rapid-response gold standard.
