From 110 BTC to Nothing: The Evolution of a 40-Year-Old Trader
Hi, everyone. I’m Mage Evolution. I’ve spent more than a decade navigating the financial world and lived through two full market cycles in crypto. I’m a seasoned crypto trader who’s seen it all. On Binance Square, you may have seen countless posts promising to make you rich overnight. Today, for the first pinned post on this account, I simply want to introduce you to the real person behind the trades—as honestly as I can. 【01 My Journey: The Cost of Riding Out Market Cycles】 In 2009, I entered the financial industry. In 2013, I focused on forex and precious metals. In 2019, I officially jumped into crypto spot and futures trading. At my peak, I had 110 BTC sitting in my account. Back then, I thought I had the market figured out. Then a close friend betrayed me, and leveraged futures trading spiraled out of control, wiping out everything I’d built over more than a decade. From watching my dream of financial freedom shatter to going bankrupt and starting over, I’ve been on a roller coaster most people will never experience in their lifetime.
A little about my own approach to trading, with some thoughts on yin-yang shifts and wave theory. There was so little time, and I kept running over, so I had to trim it down and speed it up a bit. Bear with me and give it a listen 👽$BTC
Rereading Livermore's 21 Rules Made Me Realize My Past Losses Were Inevitable.
Hi everyone, I'm Mage Evolution. Recently, I reread Livermore's trading principles. Looking at these 21 rules in the image sent chills down my spine. When I look back at my trading over the past decade or so, I realize I hit almost every one of these 21 pitfalls spot on. Rule 2 in the image: Don't add to a losing position. Averaging down is a dangerous habit. This is the rule that did me in back then. I thought every dip was an opportunity, so I kept buying more as the price fell. Eventually, my position got so large that even the slightest rebound could have gotten me out at break-even. But the rebound never came, and just before dawn, I got liquidated on a position worth dozens of BTC.

After listening to He Yi’s AMA, I think I finally understand what AI Pro could mean for manual traders like me
I just watched He Yi’s presentation at the launch event. She said that in the future, AI Pro will recommend structured strategies based on users’ preferences—whether they’re HODLers or traders, prefer dollar-cost averaging or grid trading—and execute them as soon as they confirm. As someone who’s been trading manually for over a decade and now also writes strategies, I may see this statement a little differently from most people. What matters most to me about AI Pro isn’t that it can “help you trade.” It’s that it finally separates the most draining part of trading—execution—from the strategy logic itself. I’ve been placing trades manually for over a decade, and the biggest lesson I’ve learned is this: getting the direction right isn’t hard. The hard part is acting at the right time, at the right price, with the right position size. You can watch the charts until 3 a.m., but by the time a signal appears, you might be half asleep and your ability to execute drops sharply. You either hesitate and miss the opportunity, or act impulsively and overtrade. This takes a toll that has nothing to do with your judgment, but it can have a very real impact on your profits and losses.
