#Bitcoin options volatility hits a five-year low
A five-year low.
I just saw this data about Bitcoin options volatility and was momentarily at a loss for words. Just how boring is the market right now? Even people betting on a particular direction don’t feel like taking a risk.
Looking at the historical data, when volatility falls to these extremes, one of two things tends to happen: either a big bullish or bearish candle suddenly erupts, or things stay completely stagnant until everyone forgets about it.
Either way, my strategy is very simple. I haven’t touched my core spot position, I closed my contracts a while ago, and I’m still holding onto my U. Betting on a direction at a time like this is like throwing a dart with your eyes closed. I’ll wait for the market to pick a direction; if it breaks out, I’ll still have time to follow.
