The Twitter account of crypto-focused venture capital firm Blockchain Capital was targeted by scammers who promised token demands to users. On August 9, Blockchain Capital's account shared a series of posts promising to distribute "BCAP" tokens and directed users to a clone site that mimicked the VC firm's original page.
The duplicate site includes an extra "n" in the URL and directs users to link their crypto wallets. This is a tactic that scammers often use to drain users of their funds.
Scammers have disabled the comments section to block other users who want to warn about potential scams.
This is a fake site. Don't be scammed. https://t.co/kQyo3NuIx4

The fake site impersonates Blockchain Capital's legitimate site, claiming to invest in Coinbase, Kraken, OpenSea, and other major cryptocurrency firms.
