ChainCatcher reported that according to CoinDesk, Miami Mayor Francis Suarez announced on Friday that he would accept Bitcoin campaign donations. Supporters can donate at least $1 worth of Bitcoin. Suarez said that this move is to "develop technological processes that can bring democratic opportunities to wealth creation."

Suarez announced his candidacy for the US presidency in June this year. He will compete with Trump and Ron DeSantis for the Republican nomination. Earlier news, US Democratic presidential candidate Robert Kennedy Jr. has announced that he will accept Bitcoin donations.
