Turkey’s Ministry of Finance announced on Wednesday that it has launched an investigation into SBF, the former CEO of cryptocurrency exchange FTX, over allegations of fraud.
During the investigation, assets of SBF and FTX affiliates were seized. The investigation was initiated by the Financial Crime Investigation Committee (MASAK). Turkish Finance Minister Nureddin Nebati said that the cryptocurrency market must be treated with "maximum caution", believing that the industry brings both new risks and opportunities. (U.Today)
