According to Planet Daily, the Solana Foundation has issued a call for proposals to promote the development of alternative solutions for open source archive storage. The application deadline is August 13.
Deliverables include: open source code for the archive node, which will serve incoming requests for archived data and support tracing back to genesis data; the solution is open source and can be accessed for free; plans to reduce the cost of accessing Solana historical data and improve the reliability of the Solana network by enabling different technology stacks in the storage and retrieval of historical data.
