Cryptocurrency exchange Kraken is considering delisting its USDT stablecoin in the EU. According to the Bloomberg report, the exchange is "actively reviewing" these plans. USDT is likely to be abandoned due to the new digital asset regime. Tether's stablecoin will be particularly affected by Market for Crypto-Assets (MiCA) regulations. 📉 These rules will impose restrictions on stablecoins offered to investors in the EU. Tether officials plan to keep USDT as a temporary solution while waiting for exchanges to focus on euro liquidity for EU customers. However, Tether CEO Paolo Ardoino stated that Tether does not plan to be subject to MiCA rules in the medium term.
