An 18-year-old in El Salvador has graduated from the nation's Bitcoin diploma program, Mi Primer Bitcoin, and is now teaching his former high school peers about the cryptocurrency. Gerardo Moran, who previously worked in construction, is leading Bitcoin education in his home town, with the support of the El Salvador Ministry of Education. The Director of Education in El Salvador, Gilberto Motto, said the government is focusing on ensuring Bitcoin education across the country, targeting teenagers, as by reaching every 16- and 17-year-old in the country, they will "effectively teach the entire country in one year."
