According to the Russian authorities, digital currency will be very popular among citizens. The head of the State Duma Committee on the Financial Market, Anatoly Aksakov, announced that many Russians will switch to the crypto-ruble.

According to the head of the Central Bank, Elvira Nabiullina, Russians will be able to transfer funds to CBDC absolutely free of charge. It will be possible to top up your digital wallet with an amount of no more than 300,000 rubles monthly.

The regulator is interested in completing the token tests as soon as possible. Particular attention will be paid to testing it with real users.

After summing up the results of the tests, the authorities plan to expand the scope of use of the crypto ruble. Anyone can independently create a digital wallet and replenish it with tokens, Nabiullina emphasized during her speech in the State Duma.

She recalled that CBDC is the third form of money. 13 of the largest banks in our country are taking part in the tests of the crypto-ruble, but in the future the Central Bank will increase the list of credit institutions.

The Bank of Russia is assigned the status of the sole operator of the platform for transactions with crypto-rubles. However, Nabiullina noted that the citizen will not receive income for storing funds in a digital wallet.
