š„Russia begins working on its own stablecoin
The Ministry of Finance and the Bank of Russia are discussing the creation of a Russian stablecoin, Deputy Finance Minister Ivan Chebeskov said.
The regulators are studying how it will work, which operations with it will be allowed, and how in-demand such a tool will be. There is no ready model or draft law yet.
Earlier, the Bank of Russia allowed for the emergence of a stablecoin backed by rubles, including for conducting settlements.
