📉 EMA doesn’t show price — it shows momentum. And this is where everyone stumbles.
Classic case: price cuts through EMA200 from below upward, the crowd yells “the trend reversed, long!” Meanwhile, I look at structure. EMA crossover is a consequence of movement, not its cause. If below the break there’s no change in character (they took the previous high, updated the structure), then it’s just a liquidity sweep/stop run, and the EMA will catch up to price and cross back just as neatly.
My logic for $BTC : I don’t wait for the crossover — I wait for a retest of the zone after the structure change. If it holds — that’s scenario A, and I play from a level with a clear invalidation. If it fails on the retest — that’s scenario B, and I stay aside.
EMA is context, not an entry. R:R is calculated from the structure, not the line.
