📉 Cryptocurrencies have become the second most popular type of investment among the adult population of France, an OECD survey showed. 9.4% of French people own crypto assets, slightly behind the most popular asset, real estate investment trusts (10.7%).
- New investors (since March 2020) are mostly male (64%) and younger than traditional investors (average age 36 vs. 51).
- 54% of new investors own crypto assets.
- Young investors surveyed (18-24 years old) have a “relatively low level of financial knowledge.”
