Jason Brink, president of Gala Games Blockchain, said in Discord that the Pay-by-Burn plan will be implemented this quarter, that is, when there is a purchase activity on Gala, the GALA used for this purchase will be destroyed.
Gala Games said that users can still purchase via ETH or credit card, but all GALA used to purchase digital assets will be destroyed. This change will take a few days to be fully implemented, and any purchases within the Gala platform will be automatically destroyed by the end of next week. After GALA is destroyed, an equal number of tokens will be added to the release pool to be redistributed through the Founders Nodes in the normal distribution.
