US presidential candidate and current Vice President Kamala Harris continues to address the crypto community as part of her “Opportunity Economy” agenda. On October 14, she will meet with Black entrepreneurs in Erie, Pennsylvania to discuss her support for Black-owned small businesses, crypto and digital asset regulation, and federal marijuana legalization.

Harris campaign co-chair Cedric Richmond said Harris aims to win the support of Black male voters. Harris’ stance on crypto regulation was highlighted by Ripple co-founder Chris Larsen’s donation to the Harris-Walz 2024 presidential campaign.

Bitwise Chief Investment Officer Matt Hogan questioned Harris’ stance on crypto regulation, saying it was unclear. The Harris campaign has said it supports a regulatory framework that would protect crypto ownership.
