The Cardano network is hosting the first legally enforceable smart contract under the jurisdiction of Argentine courts. The contract is a loan agreement between Cardano ambassadors Mauro Andreoli and Lucas Macchia for 10,000 ADA tokens (worth 3,380 $ ) and will be repaid within 4 months at a 10% interest rate.

Andreoli noted that this agreement is the first instance where Argentine courts can fully enforce ADA payments. This development could accelerate the wider acceptance of smart contracts for commercial transactions by Argentine courts.

Cardano founder Charles Hoskinson will meet with Argentine President Javier Milei at the Cardano Summit 2024 in Buenos Aires this month. We welcome your comments.
