**Bitcoin Miner CleanSpark Restores Power After Hurricane Helene**
CleanSpark, a major U.S. Bitcoin mining firm, is steadily recovering from the impact of Hurricane Helene. The storm caused severe flooding and power outages across several states, forcing CleanSpark to shut down 365 MW at its southeast Georgia site, dropping its hashrate from 28 EH/s to 10.5 EH/s.
- As of Sept. 30, CleanSpark has restored 200 MW, boosting its hashrate to 22 EH/s.
- The remaining 165 MW is expected to be back online by Oct. 4.
- CEO Zach Bradford confirmed no significant damage to their mining infrastructure and emphasized the safety of all team members.
The hurricane, a Category 4 storm, has tragically claimed at least 137 lives and caused extensive property damage across seven states. Bitcoin’s overall hashrate has seen fluctuations between 538 EH/s and 745 EH/s since the storm hit on Sept. 27.
