If you're still fading $XMR after the delistings, stop now. Traders keep FOMO buying memecoins that rug overnight while missing the actual runners. Not knowing when to close a winner has wiped more accounts than any dump. Top traders by 30-day profit just marked $XMR as the new runner. One closed a long on XMRUSDT perp for +14,860 USDT even as the token sat -3.74 percent. Plenty still argue privacy coins are finished. I see it the other way. When $BTC and $ETH get noisy, this one quietly pays the people watching. Where do you think this goes from here? #XMR #Monero #CryptoTrading

Monero stands out because privacy is at the core of its design. Unlike many cryptocurrencies, it focuses on making transactions private by default, giving it a distinct position in the digital asset ecosystem. 📊 What should traders watch? • Momentum: Can xmr maintain its recent strength? • Trading volume: Rising volume may help confirm a move, while fading volume could signal weakness. • Key levels: Watch support and resistance before considering any entry. • Market sentiment: A broader crypto sell-off could still put pressure on $XMR. Monero is attracting attention after posting a +5.75% 24-hour gain in the latest market snapshot I checked.

But here is the important question: Can XMR maintain its momentum, or will sellers take control?

📊 What traders should watch:

🔹 Volume: Is trading activity supporting the move?
🔹 Resistance: Can price break above a recent swing high and hold?
🔹 Support: Where might buyers defend the price?
🔹 Risk: A strong green candle does not guarantee another rally.

My approach: observe the chart, confirm the latest market data, and avoid chasing a sudden price spike.

💬 Discussion: Would you watch XMR for a potential breakout, or wait for a pullback? Share your reasoning below.

Monero Node Encryption Proposal Updated Again | XMR Around $594 | Privacy Boundaries Unchanged, Trades Await a Breakout My stance is to keep watching and not call code under review a newly enabled privacy feature. On October 26, a pull request adding SSL support for communication between nodes in Monero’s official code repository received another round of author notes. The author said they had fixed a race condition involving connection timeouts, addressed certificate fingerprint handling and testing, and adjusted padding to use fixed boundaries. They later discussed the trade-offs around certificate validity periods and persistence modes. The pull request was first opened in 2023 and is still open. The author’s update is a record of the development process, not a merge record or an official release. The latest official version listed on the project website is still 0.18.5.4, released on October 16, so it would be inaccurate to say the network is already using the new transport mechanism across the board. The connection to XMR needs to be made clear. Monero’s transaction privacy design and whether the transport layer between nodes is encrypted are separate matters. Making node connections harder to observe from the side could improve the network’s exposure during communication; however, how peer nodes verify certificates, how fingerprints are handled across restarts, and compatibility with older nodes all require thorough review. The author’s comment that continued certificate use could create long-term connection-management issues points in particular to operational trade-offs that remain. Any claim that this makes users “completely anonymous from now on” or has “eliminated tracking” goes beyond the available evidence. If code review rejects the proposal or compatibility testing fails, I will withdraw my expectations for this improvement. The market has shown no reaction that can be attributed to this development. At the time of checking, XMR/USD on Kraken was around $594, with an opening price of about $593 today, and a 24-hour low and high of about $582 and $605, respectively. The price is slightly above the open but still within the range; a development proposal becoming active again is not enough to prove that the market has priced it in. I’m watching the $596–$605 supply zone above, and whether the price holds near $582. If it repeatedly tests the upper boundary but cannot close firmly above it, I’d rather wait. On the macro front, the Federal Reserve’s website lists the October 27–28 meeting, whose outcome has not yet been announced. When volatility picks up, it’s even more important not to misattribute a macro shock to news about a single project. If I were trading this myself, I would stay out for now and only consider a conditional spot long, with no leverage. I would consider a small long only if XMR closes an hourly candle above $605, pulls back to $600–$605 without breaking below that range, and trading volume is higher than in the past few hours. The initial position would be no more than 2% of total capital. The first target is $612, where I would sell half; the second target is $625, where I would close the rest in stages. After entry, if the price falls back below $600 on an hourly close, I would proactively reduce the position; at $588, I would stop out entirely. If the price first breaks below $582, or a subsequent official review confirms a major flaw in the proposal, I would cancel the long plan and remain flat. If the conditions are not met, there is no trade and no profit. Sources: Monero official code repository pull request 8996 and the October 26 discussion; official project release announcements; Kraken XMR/USD market data; Federal Reserve meeting schedule. #XMR The above is solely my personal market observation and does not constitute investment advice.

XMR command-line usability fix pending|Keyboard shortcuts are still just a proposal|I’m watching 595 first My stance is cautious to neutral. A proposed fix in Monero’s official code repository would restore word-by-word cursor movement when holding Ctrl and pressing the left or right arrow key. It relates to wallet usability, but does not involve changes to the privacy protocol, a mainnet upgrade, or token issuance. Describing a terminal interaction fix as a “major privacy breakthrough” would mislead trading decisions. I checked pull request 11625 in Monero’s main repository. The developer explained that after the console switched from Readline to linenoise, the escape sequences produced by these key combinations were received but did not move the cursor by word. The proposal handles Ctrl+left/right arrow input while retaining the existing logic for splitting words at spaces and moving the cursor through UTF-8 text. The author says local terminal regression checks failed on the old version and passed after the change, and that unit tests were run and simplewallet and daemon were built. These are the test details reported by the author. The PR is still Open and has not been merged or officially released, so users should not assume their existing software already includes this fix. Why would a trading account mention such a small update? I’m looking at whether the maintenance team can consistently fix details that matter in real-world use. In particular, when users check addresses, parameters, and transaction details in a command-line wallet, having reliable control over input is valuable. But convenient shortcuts do not guarantee transaction security; verifying the recipient address, amount, and software source before sending funds is still essential. Monero’s official releases page currently lists 0.18.5.4 as a recent official release. A pending PR in the repository is not the same thing as the version users have installed. The market reaction should also be viewed cautiously. At the time of writing, Kraken XMR/USD was around $592.67, with a UTC open near $592.98, a rolling low of $582, and a high of $596.61. The price is close to the open, so it cannot be said that the market is pricing in this keyboard-shortcut proposal. For now, I’m watching to see whether it can repeatedly hold near 595, and then whether trading volume remains sustained above 597. The downside short-term support level is 582. If it breaks below 582 and the rebound is weak, the current idea of a consolidating but strengthening market is invalidated. If it rises above 597 but quickly falls back into the range, that is just a false breakout—not a reason to add to a position because of code news. If I were trading this myself, I would wait for now. The only direction I’d consider is a small spot long, with a maximum allocation of 3% of total funds. The entry trigger would be holding above $597 and confirming support on a retest, while BTC is not simultaneously breaking below a key level on rising volume. The first target is $605 and the second is $615; I’d take half off at $605 and move the stop on the remaining position up to protect it. If the price falls below $582 after entry, I’d exit at a loss. If the conditions never trigger, I’d stay out of the market rather than write the plan as if it had been executed. If the official review withdraws this fix, I’ll stop using it as a reference for the project’s maintenance progress. XMR command-line usability fix pending|Keyboard shortcuts are still just a proposal|I’m watching 595 first

My stance is cautious to neutral.

Monero wallet interface proposes cross-account queries | Draft still awaiting review; no privacy protocol changes | I’m waiting for confirmation at $595 My stance is to watch, not to chase-buy XMR because of a development draft. On October 26, a new PR, #11626, was opened in Monero’s official code repository. It proposes adding an all_accounts parameter to the wallet RPC methods get_address and incoming_transfers, so that addresses and incoming outputs that would otherwise require separate requests for each account can be queried all at once. The submitter says the default behavior would remain account-by-account; only when the caller explicitly sets all_accounts to true would the account and subaddress filters be ignored. The PR is currently marked Draft, has no review decision yet, and has not appeared in an official release. Monero’s current official wallet RPC documentation still describes account_index for incoming_transfers as a single account index, with a default value of 0; this is entirely different from “already enabled for all accounts.” The market significance here is improved wallet operations, not a sudden boost to anonymity. For merchants or self-custody tools with multiple accounts and receiving addresses, cross-account queries—if thoroughly tested and officially released—could reduce repeated RPC calls and accounting omissions. But this does not change the protocol rules for on-chain signatures, ring signatures, or transaction traceability, nor is it evidence that exchanges are relisting XMR. Also, convenient batch queries mean application maintainers should check who can access the wallet RPC, so they don’t expose sensitive addresses and payment records to unauthorized services. This is a deployment configuration issue; the existence of a draft is no reason to claim that a privacy vulnerability has appeared on the current mainnet. The PR submitter lists functional and unit test results, but merging, release, and user adoption are still steps ahead. How has the market reacted so far? At the time of writing, Kraken XMR/USD is around $590.8, with a UTC daily open of $592.98 and a rolling 24-hour high of $606.26 and low of $582. The current price is slightly below the daily open, suggesting that this PR has not produced a confirmed one-way rally within the quoted window. In the short term, I’m watching to see whether it can reclaim and hold $595, followed by resistance at $606. If it pulls back, I’ll first watch $582, then $575. If it breaks above $595 but then falls back below $582, or if the project review rejects the proposal, I’ll drop my bullish bias. A macro policy meeting is approaching, and volatility may have nothing to do with code progress, so I won’t force a causal link. If I were trading this myself, I wouldn’t enter now. The only direction I’d consider is a leveraged-free spot long, with an initial position of 2% of total capital and a maximum of 4%. The entry trigger is two consecutive one-hour candles closing above $595, followed by a retest of $590–$595 that holds; otherwise, I stay out. After the trigger, I’d start with 2%. I’d consider increasing to 4% only if the price also holds above $600 with supporting volume. I’d take half off at the first target of $606, then half of the remaining position at the second target of $620, protecting the rest using the one-hour lows. The initial stop is $582; if a four-hour candle closes below $575, I’d close the entire position. If the price breaks below $582 before entry, the plan is canceled. These are future conditions only; I’m not presenting the plan as a trade that has already been executed.
