The sharp rise in the price of the first cryptocurrency provoked a massive liquidation of margin positions of traders on crypto exchanges. According to Coinglass, short positions worth more than $111 million were liquidated over the past 24 hours. The largest single forcedly closed order in the amount of $8.39 million was recorded on the HTX (Huobi) exchange in the BTC/USDT pair.



Other cryptocurrencies also rose in price - Ethereum (ETH) is trading at $1,718, BNB has risen to $218, Cardano (ADA) is trading at $0.26, Ripple's XRP is trading at $0.52. An increase of more than 10% from the top ten crypto assets was shown by Solana (SOL), the token is trading at $24.14, having risen in price by 13% per day.
