🔥 What is Hedge Mode in Futures Trading?

Hedge Mode allows traders to hold both LONG 📈 and SHORT 📉 positions on the same trading pair at the same time.

🧠 How does it work?

Imagine you open:

✅ BTC LONG because you expect the price to rise.

But suddenly the market becomes uncertain, and you want protection against a possible downside move. With Hedge Mode, you can also open a BTC SHORT without automatically closing your LONG position.

📊 Simple Example:

🔹 BTC LONG → $1,000 position
🔹 BTC SHORT → $500 position

If BTC rises 📈:
Your LONG may gain while the SHORT may lose.

If BTC falls 📉:
Your SHORT may gain and help offset some losses from the LONG.

⚠️ Important: Hedge Mode does not guarantee profit. Both positions can involve trading fees, funding costs, margin requirements, and liquidation risk.

🎯 Hedge Mode can be useful for:
• Managing short-term market uncertainty
• Protecting an existing position
• Using separate LONG and SHORT trading strategies

💡 One-Way Mode vs Hedge Mode:
One-Way Mode keeps your exposure in one net direction, while Hedge Mode allows separate LONG and SHORT positions on the same contract. On Binance, position mode changes apply across symbols and generally cannot be switched while you have open positions or orders.
