Investing.com - Tesco PLC announced today that it will sell its businesses in the Czech Republic and Slovakia to Ahold Delhaize for a total enterprise value of €1.70 billion, equivalent to £1.50 billion, on a cash-free, debt-free basis.
The British retailer expects to receive net cash proceeds of €1.20 billion, equivalent to £1.00 billion, before tax and other transaction costs. The deal is subject to antitrust and other regulatory approvals and is expected to be completed in the second half of 2027.
