South Korea’s crypto tax is set to be delayed again: On October 25, the presidential office said it supported postponement. The 22% tax on virtual assets, originally scheduled to take effect on January 1, 2027, could be pushed back to 2029 under a ruling-party bill. A final decision will be made during the November tax-law review. Until an amendment is passed by the National Assembly, January 1, 2027 remains the tax’s legal start date. The tax would apply at a combined rate of 22% to annual gains exceeding 2.5 million won. The reasons for delaying it are practical: authorities cannot obtain trading data from overseas exchanges, and the U.S. will not join the OECD’s CARF information-sharing system until 2029. That would leave users of domestic exchanges facing scrutiny first, raising fairness concerns. The rules for taxing staking, airdrops, DeFi, and cross-border wallets also have yet to be worked out. This would be the fourth possible delay for the tax, which was first due to take effect in 2022. Young people commonly trade crypto on overseas platforms, so if the tax cannot be implemented, there is no need to rush into planning for 2027—but don’t assume it has been canceled either: without a legal amendment, nothing changes. #韩国 #CryptoTax
65 of the 90 large-cap coins were falling, but $ZRO was one of the few leading gainers in the day’s snapshot: On October 25, it was around $1.73, up about 1.94% over 24 hours. Quotes from various platforms later hovered near $1.73, with a market cap of about $691 million and 24-hour trading volume of about $44 million. That day, BTC was around $80,759, down 0.28%, and ETH was around $2,361, down 0.93%. Even AKE plunged 21.93% to $0.0297. ZRO wasn’t just following the broader market—it held up and closed higher amid a widespread slump. A week ago, it was around $1.84; a month ago, just $1.52. If it fails to hold $1.70, watch for $1.60; only a firm hold above $1.80 would open up more room to rise. In the cross-chain sector, few coins managed to close higher in a falling market, and ZRO was one of them today. Not investment advice. #Cross-chain
After reviewing the week, there’s really only one way to put it: the declines were slow, but they came every day. Four of the top five coins closed lower this week; only BNB managed a modest gain of 2.05%, yet it’s still down 14.56% year to date. BTC fell 2.27% this week to around $80,217, and is down 8.34% year to date; ETH fared worse, dropping 3.95% to around $2,324, and is down 21.67% year to date; SOL fell 3.31% to around $100.62, and is down 19.17% year to date. XRP held up relatively well this week, slipping just 0.61% to around $1.29, but it’s already down 29.86% year to date—the steepest drop among the top five. There wasn’t a single crash, but every bounce was sold off. This kind of slow grind lower is more exhausting than a sharp sell-off. With the Fed’s decision coming up on October 28, don’t rush to buy the dip just yet. $BTC #WeeklyReview
DUSK pulled off a textbook intraday turnaround: it was still among the 200 biggest losers in the morning, but by afternoon, market snapshots showed gains of +2.5% to +4%. It’s currently around $0.11, with a market cap of roughly $69 million. Don’t be fooled by today’s gains—it’s still down 6% to 8% over the past 7 days, though it’s up about 20% over the past month and has surged 127% since the start of the year, more than doubling. The harsh reality is that it’s still down around 90% from its all-time high of $1.15 in December 2021. At these levels, there are just as many dip-buyers as there are people hoping to break even, and the volatility makes it unsuitable for a large, directional bet. $DUSK #Privacy sector
On-chain activity is much livelier than on CEXs today: TokenPost/GeckoTerminal’s daily DEX report puts 24-hour DEX trading volume across the market at about $6.3 billion, down 17.9% from the previous period but up 11.35% from a week ago. The gainers’ list is so absurd it looks Photoshopped: BIBI surged 53,175% in a day, dope wif sword rose 51,259%, and iPhone Duo gained 46,752%. Meanwhile, Universal High Income, the hottest pair by trading volume, plunged 99.98% in a day and still ranked first among trending pairs. The top token by trading volume was Niannian (年年), at $234.6 million, with just over $1 million in liquidity and 206x turnover—take figures like these with a grain of salt; don’t put real money into it. DEX Screener reports about $5.65 billion in 24-hour volume on a comparable basis, in the same ballpark. #DEX #On-chainData
While the broader market moved sideways, $ENA charted its own course: Binance spot briefly surged 4.46% in an hour to $0.2037, with 24-hour gains of around 9.5%–10.2%. It’s now trading near $0.206, with a market cap of about $2.7 billion, ranking 40th. The catalyst is clear: on October 23, USDe launched natively on OKX’s X Layer, with Aave v3 integrated at launch. OKX Wallet users can now access USDe directly on-chain for the first time, while one-click looping is still in the works. In that same hour, $120,000 in short positions were liquidated, compared with zero in longs—the shorts paid the price first. It’s up around 11%–14% over seven days, but still down about 20%–24% over 30 days. Is this the start of a reversal or just an oversold bounce? First, watch whether it can hold above $0.2105. #Ethena #USDe
As the U.S. Congress drags its feet, Asia and the Middle East are taking the business directly.
Apex Group CEO Peter Hughes told CoinDesk on October 24 that, after the Clarity Act stalled in the Senate, U.S. digital asset business is flowing to jurisdictions that move faster—Asia, the Middle East, and even Bermuda.
How the bill died: On September 15, a procedural vote failed to reach the 60-vote threshold, with 49 in favor and 50 opposed. It got bogged down in disputes over ethics provisions and stablecoin yields. The SEC and CFTC have since each put forward their own crypto rules, but the legislative vacuum remains.
Hughes singled out Saudi Arabia: Europe shouldn’t expect to pick up the slack—MiCA is both strict and slow. Saudi Arabia is the one taking action, opening its real estate market to digital assets. On October 1, Apex teamed up with droppRWA and Tokeny on Saudi Arabia’s first RWA tokenization project. Once tokens are directly linked to legal records, international investors will be able to enter Saudi real estate as easily as shopping online.
The irony: The more the U.S. spins its wheels, the faster others move. Institutional money won’t wait—it will simply go elsewhere.
Today, it surged straight to the top of the top 200 gainers: CoinCodex’s early-morning market roundup shows it up 31.68% over 24 hours—the strongest performer of them all.
Even more striking is the volume: 24-hour trading volume hit $246 million, more than 130 times the usual level, with turnover nearly four times higher. This isn’t just retail traders at play—big money is changing hands.
The price action has been wild, too: it surged 62.86% in just one hour overnight, reaching 0.0075 USDT. Its 24-hour low today was around 0.0045, while the high touched 0.0079. Do the math: anyone who bought around 0.0045 yesterday and held until the high would be up 75% on paper—turning 10,000 USDT into 17,500 USDT.
But don’t get carried away: a rally driven by this kind of volume, without a clear fundamental catalyst, can easily give back its gains once volume dries up. It needs to hold above 0.0055 to make a run at 0.0060; a drop below 0.0050 would put a retest of 0.0045 in sight.
Wall Street itself has called time on the tokenized-stock show. OKX and NYSE parent company ICE teamed up on OKXICE, hoping to use Uniswap v4 liquidity pools on the XLayer blockchain, with USDC settlement, to bring 24/7 trading in U.S. stocks on-chain under the SEC’s five-year innovation exemption sandbox. But the number of listed companies objecting rose from 9 on October 15 to 16 on the 19th, then to 22 in an announcement on the 23rd. The latest batch includes Wells Fargo, Cisco, Marvell, Arm, Moderna, and Intuit; Microsoft, Alphabet, Goldman Sachs, and McDonald’s had already said no. The rules give issuers 30 days to object, and Nasdaq has also said it plans to withdraw. OKXICE co-chairman Cuomo said this was expected and that companies simply wanted to wait and see—but one after another, their refusals make it clear that listed companies don’t want others putting their stocks on-chain on their behalf. Tokenization has been touted for ages, but the first hurdle lies with the issuers themselves. #代币化股票 #OKX
$MAGMA Today has been a roller coaster—buckle up before you watch. Earlier this morning, a post on Square said it was down 13.13% over 24 hours, while an OKX snapshot shortly afterward showed a 24.37% gain over the same period. Same day, same coin, completely conflicting figures—that’s the reality of MAGMA’s volatility right now: JustScreener puts its 24-hour range at $0.313 to $0.405, with the current price hovering around $0.33 to $0.34, after a roughly 12% pullback over the past four hours. It’s still up 33.43% for the week. Initial support is around $0.26, with resistance above at $0.3388 to $0.4176. Its circulating market cap is only about $64 million, so it’s a small-cap asset with high volatility. Before chasing the price, think carefully about whether you can handle this kind of back-and-forth shakeout. This is not investment advice; volatility itself is a risk.#MAGMA #DeFi
Bitcoin investors had a rough weekend: It briefly fell to $79,146 on Saturday, its lowest level in over a month, before climbing back above $80,000. On Sunday, it was around $80,166, still down 0.3% over 24 hours. Gold permabull Peter Schiff was quick to weigh in: “It’s finally starting to crash. It’s incredible it held up this long. The next stop is $75,000. If it breaks below that, it’ll mean a long weekend for ETF investors, who can’t sell until the market opens on Monday, while Bitcoin keeps trading—and falling—24/7.” There’s real money flowing out: U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs saw a combined $773.5 million in net outflows on Thursday and Friday, including $635.5 million on Thursday alone. Bloomberg’s Mike McGlone piled on: “Not fighting the Fed may be the lesson of the fourth quarter,” noting that IBIT’s volatility is about three times that of long-term Treasury ETFs. The Fear and Greed Index has fallen to 40, in fear territory, and the Fed meeting is coming up on October 27–28. For now, watch whether Bitcoin can hold above $80,000 over the next couple of days. Don’t rush to buy the dip or panic-sell. #比特币 #FederalReserve
Privacy coins are the toughest players in the market today: 65 of the 90 largest coins are down, yet XMR is bucking the trend, up over 5% to around $610, with a market cap of roughly $11.5 billion—and it’s also CoinCodex’s Coin of the Day. The catalyst wasn’t a tech upgrade. Kraken co-founder Arjun Sethi personally admitted the exchange was wrong to email XMR buyers asking them to check their employers, the source of their funds, and the purpose of their withdrawals. No rules required those questions, the emails have all been withdrawn, and the original message was simply: “xmr stays listed.” With the delisting-risk premium gone, buyers came straight back. But don’t get carried away: this is a news-driven relief rally, and XMR is still about 23% below its January all-time high of $797. Binance delisted XMR spot trading back in February 2024, and the EU, UK, and Canada already ban XMR trading. Kraken’s verbal assurance isn’t a permanent policy. The privacy narrative is back, but make sure you size your position carefully. #隐私币 #Monero
ETH longs were wiped out root and branch. $184.41 million in leveraged positions were liquidated over 24 hours, 90.4% of them longs. About $166.7 million worth of long positions were wiped out, compared with just $17.7 million in shorts. ETH was trading around $2,337 on Saturday, down about 2.5% over 24 hours, with a range of $2,286.76–$2,402.36. But note: even after the liquidations, perpetual open interest remained at $44.26 billion—15.5% of ETH’s $285.3 billion market cap. Leverage has by no means been cleared out. Meanwhile, smart money has already flipped its position: address 0xe813 opened a long position of 26,974 ETH right after the plunge, with a notional value of $63.88 million. It was showing an unrealized profit of $842,000 at the time, and this address still has a 100% win rate on Hyperbot. On one side, longs are getting slaughtered; on the other, smart money is buying the dip. With $44.2 billion in leverage still piled up, the next big green or red candle won’t be a small one. $ETH #以太坊 #Liquidations
Today’s biggest loser is surprisingly AKE. In TokenPost’s early-morning snapshot, Akedo was down 21.93% over 24 hours, leading the entire market lower. Of the 90 large-cap coins, 65 were down, and Akedo fell the hardest. Its current price is around $0.0295, with a market cap of about $660 million and a 24-hour range of $0.0285–$0.0321. It’s already down 17.6% over the past 30 days, and about 80% from its all-time high of $0.1467. What stings even more: it was also yesterday’s biggest loser, topping the decliners list for two days straight. With thin trading volume, once it starts falling, it’s hard to stop. $0.0285 is the last support for now; if it breaks, the next level to watch is $0.028. Anyone who held through yesterday has seen their paper losses grow again today. With a coin like this, being the biggest loser isn’t a buy-the-dip signal—it’s a reason to first see whether it can stop the bleeding.#加密货币 #Akedo
The rumor that Wintermute was going to sue Binance had been circulating for half a month, but founder Gaevoy personally set the record straight: “We never intended to sue Binance, and we never will.” It started with the nearly $20 billion liquidation cascade on October 10. Some people claimed Binance’s ADL mechanism cost market makers hundreds of millions of dollars, and WhalePump Reborn went so far as to say Wintermute would seek compensation. Gaevoy fired back: “That’s complete nonsense.” For the record, Binance has since paid out $283 million in compensation, along with a $400 million recovery plan. The more fiercely the rumor spreads, the more it shows that those who were liquidated that day still haven’t recovered—but the big story of a market maker suing an exchange? That’s not happening this time. #Wintermute #Binance
Today, TRAC topped the losers among the top 200 coins: CoinCodex’s daily report shows it down 8.83% in a single day, while the OKX snapshot is even worse: it’s now at $0.3705, down 9.39% in 24 hours, with a market cap of just $166 million. What stings even more is the liquidity: 24-hour trading volume on OKX was only $520,000. At that volume, even a moderately large order could send the price crashing. It’s also down more than 9% over the past 7 days. That’s what weakness looks like—falling faster than everyone else and recovering slower. While everyone else is waiting for the Fed’s October 28 decision, TRAC has already become a cautionary tale. #OriginTrail #WeakCoin
Yesterday’s most outrageous crypto lesson: X100 is governed by a 3-person senate. An attacker took out a 1.94 million USDT flash loan, bought 38,200 X, and seized 2 of the seats. They submitted and executed a proposal on the spot, selling 400,000 treasury X for $36 into a pool they had created. Netting about $4.75 million, with total losses of $4.85 million according to Blockaid, the X token plunged 96% in a day. The stolen funds were split among 4 wallets holding 400 tokens each, $ETH , while another 423 X remained in the distribution wallet. Governance without snapshots, lock-up periods, or timelocks is a backdoor for attackers. As of early this morning, the project team still hadn’t issued a statement, frozen the funds, or offered a bounty. $USDT #安全 #DeFi
The broader market is still grinding around $80,000, while $ARC has quietly made a move of its own: currently around $0.061, with various snapshots showing a 3%–6% gain over 24 hours and roughly 50% over 7 days. Its market cap is only a little over $61 million. The 24-hour range is $0.057–$0.064, with $0.064 as the first resistance level. It’s only worth watching for further upside if it can hold above that; otherwise, this is just a typical oversold bounce. An AI narrative plus a small market cap can send it up fast—and only make it fall faster. Don’t chase it just because it’s up 50%; figure out your position size before making a move.$BTC #AI #Crypto
NEAR’s CTO made it clear today: if quantum computing ever breaks today’s cryptography, NEAR will be better prepared than Bitcoin. It’s not just talk—NEAR’s account design isn’t locked into any one signature algorithm, so a new signing scheme can simply be added; other chains would need a large-scale migration, which could take years. NEAR began rolling out the post-quantum signature scheme ML-DSA in Q2 this year. It’s already available in the Meteor wallet, and Ledger integration is still underway. Chain Signatures can also help protect assets across more than 30 other chains. And to be clear: this is “not easy.” Being prepared doesn’t mean being immune. $NEAR #量子计算 #NEAR
Today, 55 of the top 80 coins are down, but DigiByte has managed to hold its ground. It’s currently around $0.0034, with several snapshots showing 24-hour gains of 2% to 4%. Its market cap is about $62 million, while it’s still down 2% to 4% over 7 days and around 23% over 30 days. So this isn’t a get-rich-quick story—it’s one of the few coins in a weak market still holding support at $0.00337. If it holds there, the first target above is $0.00368, followed by $0.004. A break below $0.00329 would invalidate this small rebound for now. There’s no shame in modest gains—in a sea of red, staying green is already half the battle. $DGB #DigiByte
