AKASH CHOOSES SOLANA AS MIGRATION DESTINATION, PLANS TO LEAVE COSMOS

Akash Network has chosen Solana as its migration destination and plans to leave its own akashnet-2 blockchain, making its computing marketplace a native program on Solana, with AKT becoming an SPL token.

The migration proposal must reach a 33.4% quorum and pass by majority vote. Following two independent audits, users will be able to migrate AKT at a 1:1 ratio within two years.

The marketplace migration date has not yet been determined. Akash cited the operating costs of its own chain, as well as Solana’s liquidity, user base, and DePIN ecosystem, as the main reasons.
