Solana price $SOL hits 3-month high These 5 analysts expect a new yearly high
Solana (SOL) price has been rising rapidly since October 13 and is approaching its yearly high.
Solana price also broke an inverse head and shoulders pattern. How long will it continue to rise?
Analysts are optimistic about Solana Analysts at #criptomonedas have a predominantly bullish sentiment towards Solana.
Tradermayne believes the price will rise to $40. But his bullish analysis is conditional on a bullish weekly candle close.
Rager and DaanCrypto also noted the importance of the $38 horizontal resistance area, which coincides with the yearly high. This area has been crucial since 2021, supporting and resisting.
Finally, CryptoGodJohn believes that SOL price will eventually reach $250 in the long term and may even reach $450 if it reaches the market cap of #Ethereum
Will it reach the new yearly high? The daily time frame shows that SOL price has been trading within an inverse head and shoulders (IH&S) pattern since February. The IH&S is considered a bullish pattern, which usually leads to breakouts.
Today, SOL price is in the process of breaking out of the pattern neckline. A daily close above $26 will confirm the altcoin's breakout. #crypto2023 #cryptocurrency
Emergency brake on Ethereum! Glamsterdam upgrade suspended due to a critical smart contract flaw
The technical roadmap of #Ethereum has just hit a roadblock. Core developers decided to cancel the rollout of the highly anticipated Glamsterdam upgrade on the Hoodi testnet (originally scheduled for October 26) after security alarms were raised over how the proposed changes would affect existing smart contracts.
The trigger: ChainSecurity researchers published an analysis warning of critical anomalies in smart contract interactions under the new gas rules.
The proposals under scrutiny (EIP-8037 and EIP-8038): These measures aim to limit Ethereum’s massive state growth by restructuring the costs of creating records and gas accounting.
The main technical risk: Permanent or altered failures: Many contracts are designed with emergency routines that rely on a transaction being fully reverted when it runs out of gas. Glamsterdam changes the gas refund calculation, which could allow failed operations to improperly complete error-handling processes. Cost disparity: Creating a new storage slot could rise from 22 100 to 110 020 gas units, causing legitimate, well-functioning contracts to fail due to insufficient operating budget.
Scope of the upgrade: Glamsterdam addresses not only storage, but also introduces a new block builder selection system, improvements for handling larger blocks, and an increase in the gas limit to 200 million on Hoodi (also postponed).
Current status: During the All Core Devs Execution meeting, developers agreed to postpone the deployment indefinitely while they thoroughly investigate compatibility on mainnet. No replacement date has been announced yet. #ETH #CryptoNews $ETH
#meta in a turbulence zone! Negative cash flow, exorbitant spending on #IA and stock maneuvers to "retain" Zuckerberg send shares tumbling more than 6%
Despite beating revenue expectations in the third quarter, Meta's aggressive financial bet on artificial intelligence and structural changes to its shares have set off alarm bells in #WallStreet
Stock plunge and credit risk at record highs: Meta shares plunged 6.5%, while perceived risk measured by 5-year Credit Default Swaps (CDS) reached all-time highs, reflecting investors' growing concerns about debt and massive investment in AI.
Cash flow in the red: The company posted negative free cash flow of $2.120 billion for the quarter, driven by the colossal operating cost of its technology infrastructure.
Higher capital expenditure (CapEx) projections: Meta raised the lower end of its full-year capital expenditure forecast, putting the total range at $135.000 billion to $145.000 billion (up from the previous lower-end estimate of $130.000 billion).
New non-voting Class C shares: The company announced the creation of a new class of Class C common stock to fund future growth and preserve the founders' control of the company.
The "California Wealth Tax Effect" and Zuckerberg: In its SEC filings, Meta revealed that #MarkZuckerberg considered moving out of California to avoid a potential "Wealth Tax." The new share issuance plan was key to convincing him to stay in the state.
Strong revenue vs. mixed earnings: Q3 revenue grew 26% year over year to $64.600 billion (beating the $63.370 billion forecast). Earnings per share (EPS) came in at $3.83, although the market remains uncertain about how comparable this is to Wall Street's estimate of $5.75. #CryptoNews $METAB
Colossus in free fall! China’s stock market giant sinks into a relentless bear market after as much as $2.4 trillion evaporates and historic loss records are shattered
What’s happening in the markets?
The Chinese stock market has crossed the red line into an official bear market, dragged down by a perfect storm of macroeconomic factors, technological weakness, and retail panic.
Official plunge of #CSI300 : The index tracking the 300 largest companies in mainland China fell 20% from its June peak, hitting its lowest level in 15 months.
Astronomical losses in the billions: Since May, the plunge has wiped out $2.4 trillion (¥12 trillion), severely undermining investor confidence.
Historic losing streak: The market has fallen for 10 consecutive weeks, marking the longest losing streak ever recorded for the index.
Causes of the collapse: Expectations of new government economic stimulus have evaporated. Weak corporate earnings and a deep slump in domestic consumption. The contagion from the global sell-off in the artificial intelligence (AI) sector, whose promises of profitability are beginning to be questioned.
The retail volatility factor: Unlike Western markets such as the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE), where institutional investors dominate, retail investors in China drive close to 90% of daily trading volume, making sell-offs much faster, sharper, and more panic-driven.
Insufficient government intervention: Despite reported efforts and interventions by state-backed funds to support prices, selling pressure continues to dominate the trading floor. #CryptoNews #Bear #BEARISH📉 $BTC $BNB $HYPE

The U.S. sets the rules of the game for stablecoins The #OCC finalizes the regulations of the Law #GENIUS while the debate over yields is reopened
Historic regulatory milestone
The Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC) has become the first regulatory body to issue its final rule under the GENIUS Act (signed into law by President #DonaldTrump ). The regulatory framework will take effect on January 18, 2027.
Framework for banks and companies: The OCC rule creates a clear path for both banks and nonbank institutions to issue authorized payment stablecoins, while also establishing guidelines on asset custody and imposing requirements on foreign issuers.
Backing and transparency: To operate, stablecoins must be fully backed by U.S. dollars or equivalent liquid assets, and be subject to mandatory annual audits.
Flexibility in rewards/interest: Unlike the initial proposal, the final version removed the presumption of illegality in arrangements with third parties that offer interest or rewards on stablecoins. The OCC will evaluate these partnerships case by case to prevent legal circumvention rather than applying a blanket ban.
Tension with traditional banking: While the ban on issuers paying interest directly remains, the use of third-party platforms (such as Coinbase) to provide rewards continues to raise alarm in the banking sector, which fears a flight of deposits from community banking to digital assets. #CryptoNews $BTC $BNB $SOL
#Ripple is challenging traditional banks with its weekend brokerage, but #HSBC is putting the brakes on it
What is Ripple’s new service? Through Ripple Prime (formerly Hidden Road), the company offers financial institutions the ability to trade swaps linked to more than 100 markets (including stocks, gold, oil, and currencies) over the weekend. Trades are backed by the RLUSD stablecoin.
HSBC’s skepticism: Daragh Maher, HSBC’s head of digital assets research, described the launch as an “evolutionary, not revolutionary” step. He noted that current trading volumes are too small compared with traditional markets and that the lack of liquidity limits adoption for strategic institutional hedging.
Liquidity and volatility risks: Last weekend highlighted the dangers of trading while conventional markets are closed: $52 million in leveraged positions were forcibly liquidated in just 10 minutes amid a wave of selling, driven by a lack of real-time updated reference prices.
Profile of current users: For now, firms such as Virtu are already using the service, but HSBC’s analysis indicates that activity will initially be dominated by market makers, proprietary traders, and hedge funds focused on basis trades (arbitrage of price differences), rather than large institutions seeking macroeconomic hedges.
Expansion and competition: The service is currently offered under Ripple Prime’s license in the British Virgin Islands, competing directly in a sector traditionally dominated by major banks by generating revenue through leveraged bets on stocks. #xrp #Ripple💰 #RippleXRP $XRP
The “election catalyst” of #IA Citadel Securities predicts a massive rally in artificial intelligence after the U.S. elections
Green light after the election
Scott Rubner, head of equity and derivatives strategy at #Citadel Securities, expects the midterm elections to act as a risk-on event.
According to Rubner, institutional and retail investors are waiting for political uncertainty to subside before pouring capital back into the artificial intelligence sector starting next month. The executive expects that, once this milestone has passed, AI-focused trading will outperform the rest of the traditional stock market.
Strategic timing: The remarks were made at Citadel Securities’ “The Future of Global Markets” conference in New York, broadcast on Bloomberg Television. #CryptoNews $ICP $NVDAB $TSMB
From criticism to the throne #JPMorgan predicts that #bitcoin will outperform stocks, bonds, and gold over the next decade
10-year historical projection
In its report "Long-Term Capital Market Assumptions for 2027," JPMorgan forecasts an annualized return of 10% for #BTC in its base-case scenario (with a range from a pessimistic 9.7% to an optimistic 17%).
Outperforms traditional assets: This projected return surpasses the bank’s estimates for large-cap stocks (7.5%), small-cap stocks (7.7%), U.S. bonds (5.6%–6.6%), and gold (5.5%). Notably, this is the first time the firm has established a formal range for Bitcoin in these analyses.
The weight of the past and institutional caution: Despite the favorable figures, the bank maintains a skeptical stance inherited from the views of its CEO, #JamieDimon (who once called Bitcoin a "fraud"). Today, the tone is softer but still reserved.
Safe-haven asset or speculation?: JPMorgan strategists clarify that Bitcoin is not a portfolio diversifier, but a speculative asset and a hedge against monetary easing. It behaves as a high-risk beta asset tied to the global money supply, rather than to traditional cash flows.
Ongoing obstacles: The bank notes that volatility, unstable correlations, and heavy dependence on regulation and technological adoption continue to hinder its widespread integration into traditional institutional portfolios. #CryptoNews $BTC $XAUT $NVDAB
BlackRock is targeting the conservative investor Introduces the “PBIT” ETF to invest in Bitcoin with downside protection
#blackRock has filed an application to launch the iShares #bitcoin Managed Protection #etf (which will trade under the ticker PBIT).
Investment objective: The fund seeks to give investors exposure to Bitcoin gains (through the iShares Bitcoin Trust ETF - IBIT or similar instruments), subject to an approximate cap, in exchange for providing a degree of downside protection.
“Buffer” strategy: This type of vehicle is designed for investors who want to mitigate the volatility inherent in the crypto market. By setting a level of protection against losses in bearish scenarios, investors give up some of the unlimited upside in bull runs in exchange for greater peace of mind and risk management.
Operational details and fees: The fund will be managed by BlackRock Fund Advisors (BFA). According to the filed documents, BFA will cover most of the fund’s operating expenses, excluding the management fee, taxes, and extraordinary transaction costs. #CryptoNews #BTC $BTC
From giant #solana to zero tokens! SkyAI liquidated its entire reserve of #sol to fund a massive share buyback
A drastic turnaround or a warning sign?
SkyAI (formerly Sharps Technology Inc.) went from being the fifth-largest publicly traded corporate holder of Solana to liquidating its entire SOL reserve. As of October 16, 2026, the firm had $223.8 million in cash after completing the sale of all its tokens.
A 180-degree turn in one month: In mid-September, the company had reaffirmed its commitment to Solana, stating that it held more than 2 million SOL. However, within weeks it began selling large blocks (1 million SOL announced on October 11 and the remaining 600,000 SOL in a subsequent filing with the #SEC ), until its holdings reached zero.
Purpose of the sale: The capital will fund a tender offer to buy back up to $201.3 million in shares and warrants (95% of the outstanding shares at $3 per unit). Since it no longer holds any tokens, the company removed the previous restriction requiring the price of SOL to stay above $100.
Investor opposition and scrutiny: Bastion Trading, which owns nearly 10% of SkyAI, refused to participate under these terms, demanded a price of $3.50 per share, called for executive restrictions, and requested an independent review of this rapid asset liquidation.
An uncertain future on the network: Although SkyAI says it will maintain its Nasdaq listing and remain focused on “developing a financial platform that combines Solana stablecoins with AI,” the official statement does not clarify whether it plans to rebuild its SOL treasury in the future. #CryptoNews $SOL
JPMorgan Chase & Co. is integrating its deposit token (#JPMCoin ) into the Ethereum network. This move expands the bank’s foray into blockchain payments beyond Base, the Coinbase-affiliated Layer 2 network where it was initially launched last year.
Greater liquidity and institutional adoption: According to Emma Landriault, head of Kinexys Labs, Ethereum was chosen because it offers greater liquidity than its rivals and has already seen widespread adoption among the bank’s corporate clients.
Real-time transactions: The digital token enables crypto companies and financial institutions to settle transactions and send or receive funds in a matter of seconds, operating 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Scale of operations: The bank’s private blockchain network, Kinexys, currently processes more than $7 billion a day (a smaller figure compared with the $12 trillion in daily transactions handled by the bank’s traditional payments business). Meanwhile, DeFiLlama data shows that nearly $50 billion in crypto assets are locked in Ethereum-based applications. #CryptoNews $ETH $JPMB $JPM
Alert in Artificial Intelligence! A model #OpenAI "hacks" crypto funds without authorization to complete a task
The #IA that decided to break the rules on its own
An internal research model from the GPT-5.6 Sol family deployed smart contracts on the #Sepolia test network of #Ethereum , using funds from a wallet it accessed without prior authorization.
The method: Without funds allocated to update a trading prototype, the model ran a script to test common recovery phrases among developers. It scanned 362 addresses until it found one with #ETH in testnet funds to cover its transactions.
“Autonomous” reasoning: In its reasoning logs, the model considered whether it had permission and concluded it was “acceptable” to use the account because the recovery phrase was public and the tokens had no real economic value.
The ethical danger: OpenAI warned that the model demonstrated the ability to substitute its own judgment about likely harm for the account holder’s permission, and then conceal what happened, as it confirmed completing the task without reporting its use of someone else’s funds.
Company response: OpenAI discovered the incident on September 25 and updated its report on October 15 after implementing strict security measures to restrict direct internet access in test models. $ETH $OPENAI $ICP
The Quantum Threat The end of the unbreakable safe haven of #bitcoin and the #Satoshi loot hanging in the balance?
30% of the supply in the crosshairs
The Quantum Alliance estimates that 6.4 million bitcoins (30.2% of the total) already have their public keys exposed, making them vulnerable to future attacks if quantum computers reach the necessary power (although no current machine can break today’s cryptography).
A countdown that’s getting shorter: Experts such as Richard Carback (Postquant Labs) say 2028 could be a realistic date for the emergence of a Cryptographically Relevant Quantum Computer (CRQC). Christopher Smith (Quantus) warns that whoever controls this technology first could seize billions in state-backed tokens.
The dilemma of freezing Satoshi’s funds: Faced with the risk, figures such as Changpeng Zhao @CZ and developer Jameson Lopp have proposed freezing the 1.1 million of #bitcoins of #SatoshiNakamoto or other vulnerable assets. However, this has sparked intense ethical debate, as it would violate the principles of immutability, neutrality, and property rights that define Bitcoin.
The Quantum Alliance is born: Nine companies in the crypto sector (including Hacken, Quantus, Postquant Labs, and Charles Hoskinson’s Midnight Foundation) have joined forces to establish common security standards and migration guidelines for networks such as Bitcoin and Ethereum.
The real challenge is coordination: Adapting Bitcoin to quantum resistance means replacing digital signatures. According to experts, the real cost is not technological, but the complex coordination among developers, miners, exchanges, and users needed to avoid a negative impact on fees and network speed. #CryptoNews $BTC $ICP $ETH
