🔴 FSB placed Pavel Durov under international arrest warrant
The founder of Telegram, Pavel Durov, has been placed under international arrest warrant for aiding terrorism, report media citing the Russian FSB.
According to the FSB, Ukrainian special services allegedly used Telegram chat bots to recruit Russian citizens. The agency claims that the Telegram administration did not remove the service after it was added to the registry of banned resources, which became the basis for the charges.
At the time of publication, no official comments from Pavel Durov had been received.
🌕 CZ-owned Trust Wallet launches AI agents that can execute crypto trades
The digital wallet owned by Binance founder Changpeng Zhao, which has more than 220 million customers, said Thursday that users can now employ artificial intelligence-powered agents to perform a variety of crypto transactions.
"Today, Trust Wallet launches the Trust Wallet Agent Kit (TWAK) — infrastructure that lets AI agents execute real crypto transactions, across more than 25 blockchains, within rules that users define and control," the company said in a blog post. The agents can handle cross-chain swaps across several networks, including Solana and Bitcoin, in addition to managing recurring buys.
Crypto firms are increasingly experimenting with AI-powered automation, aiming to allow users to enlist agents that can actively manage portfolios and execute trades.
The new toolkit offers two ways to operate, one where the AI agent has its own wallet and can execute trades automatically based on set rules, and the other where it suggests transactions that users then need to approve.
"Trust Wallet has always been built on a single principle: your keys, your crypto. TWAK extends that principle into the age of AI agents," also according to the blog post. "With WalletConnect mode, an AI can help you act on your portfolio — research, propose, execute — without ever holding your keys. You stay in control."
While the cryptocurrency exchange initially bought Trust Wallet in 2018, it now operates as an independent company.
🔵 Cardano Price Prediction: ADA Risks Falling to $0.19 After Resistance Rejection
Widely followed crypto analyst Tony has predicted that Cardano could decline toward $0.19 after failing to break above a key resistance level.
In his latest update, Tony warned that Cardano could be gearing up for a move toward $0.19 following $ADA ’s rejection above the $0.23 resistance zone. His chart suggests that the token has struggled to sustain its recovery, raising the possibility of another decline.
At the time of the projection, ADA had fallen below $0.22 as the broader cryptocurrency market faced renewed selling pressure.
🔸 ADA Chart Highlights Potential Retest of $0.19 Support
The accompanying daily ADA/USDT chart on Bybit shows that Cardano rallied from around $0.14 in late June to $0.28 in early October. However, the recovery lost momentum after ADA encountered resistance near the $0.28 region.
The token subsequently reversed lower, breaking below $0.23 and extending its decline toward $0.2174 in the hours leading up to press time. Consequently, the $0.23 zone has become a key resistance level that ADA must reclaim to strengthen its recovery prospects.
Against this backdrop, Tony’s projection points to a potential decline toward horizontal support around $0.19 before another recovery attempt. The white arrows on his chart illustrate a possible move below this support area, followed by a rebound toward $0.22.
Nevertheless, the chart outlines a potential scenario rather than a confirmed price movement. If selling pressure pushes ADA decisively below $0.19, the token could face further downside. Conversely, a rebound would depend on renewed buying pressure and the market’s ability to sustain a recovery.
🔥 US-Iran War Deal Expected This Week, Can Bitcoin Price Reclaim $90K?
A US-Iran war deal could be announced this week as mediators seek an agreement between Washington and Tehran, according to Al-Araby Al-Jadeed. The breakthrough comes as Bitcoin trades near $82,500, with investors watching whether easing tensions could support a recovery toward $90,000.
🔘 Will APT’s price clear $0.87 after Aptos’s launch of Block-STM v2 upgrade?
Aptos [APT] rebounded by over 13% in 24 hours as the wider market recovered. Altcoins took the lead on this recovery as the total market cap of all cryptos surpassed $2.77 trillion, up by more than 2.21%.
At the time of writing, APTs daily trading volume was $100 million, primarily driven by the hype around the upgrade of the ecosystem. What are the final details of the update though?
🔸 Aptos Labs announces upgrade as network reacts
Aptos Labs announced the upgrade of Block-STM, which has been running in parallel on Aptos since the mainnet. This upgrade was completed on 15th October and was named Block-STM v2, with other chains building on it.
This upgrade has since increased transaction throughput and scalability. In fact, this process was explained by Aptos Labs’ Head of Research Alexander Spiegelman and Near Protocol [NEAR] co-founder Illia Polosukhin.
As a result, the throughput and network activity responded instantly. For instance, the chain’s TPS hit a peak value of 1,308 while the real-time throughput was 174. This revealed that there was a difference between the theoretical and real values.
Additionally, Daily Active Accounts rose from 46,670 to 49,385, a 5.82% uptick.
🔸 Why are bulls struggling to break resistance level?
However, on the 4-hour chart, APT's price was rising but facing a huge blockade at $0.8777. Every time the price hit this level, it got rejected and even had a fake breakout five days ago.
At press time, APT was trading above $0.8777, with the same faintly flipping the SuperTrend indicator to bullish. Still, it wasn’t confirmation if the altcoin’s bulls can keep it out of this consolidation.
This may be why the RSI Divergence has been bearish. However, it broke above the neutral level with a reading of 62.41.
💥 Tokenized Tesla surges as Elon Musk unveils SpaceX-powered flying Roadster prototype
Traders rushed into Tesla-linked crypto markets overnight after Elon Musk unveiled a flying version of the Roadster, with trading on Hyperliquid jumping while U.S. stock markets were closed.
The surge shows how crypto exchanges that never close are becoming the first place investors react to news about traditional companies.
Musk demonstrated the prototype, which uses SpaceX thruster technology, on Oct. 15, after Tesla TSLA shares closed at $362.44. Hyperliquid’s TSLA perpetual contract rose about 4.9% to roughly $378, and hourly trading volume leapt about 1,580%, from $2.8 million to $47 million.
It is already the contract’s second-busiest day since listing a year ago, with the daily candle only nine hours old. Binance remained the largest venue, with $279 million in 24-hour volume versus Hyperliquid’s $159 million, according to RootData, but Hyperliquid held the most open interest, at $99 million. Tesla shares were up about 4.5% in premarket trading.
Hyperliquid’s contract, listed through Trade.xyz, is a perpetual future that tracks Tesla’s stock price rather than a tokenized share. It settles in USDC, allows up to 20x leverage and requires no brokerage account. The contract trades around the clock, so it was one of the few ways to bet on Tesla’s price while Nasdaq was closed. Tesla is due to report third-quarter earnings on Oct. 21.
₿ Strategy purchased an additional 250 BTC for $21.5 million.
Michael Saylor's company, Strategy, has increased its Bitcoin holdings by another 250 BTC, totaling $21.5 million. The total holdings now amount to 848,250 BTC.
This represents approximately 4% of the maximum Bitcoin supply of 21 million coins, with a total value of around $71 billion. The company's cash reserves remain at $4.88 billion.
🦊 Just $1 of SHIB Removed as Shiba Inu Burn Resumes From Temporary Hiatus
Just $1 worth of SHIB was burned in the last 24 hours, according to the Shibburn page, highlighting the relatively small scale of the burn activity over the past day.
According to the Shibburn page, 192,678 SHIB was burned in the last 24 hours. This small amount follows the Shiba Inu burn page seeing a brief disruption, which interrupted visibility into the latest burn figures, making burn activity unavailable for users checking the tracker. This caused the total burn in the last 24 hours to briefly show $0.
Shortly afterward, the reported 24-hour burn total showed 192,335 SHIB burned, with burn activity now available. While the update suggests that burn activity is being reported again, the figure remains modest compared with larger burns that have occasionally attracted attention within the Shiba Inu ecosystem. Subsequently, the daily burn rate fell 14.22%.
In the last seven days, a total of 176.35 million SHIB was burned, and a total of 709.44 million SHIB was burned in the last 30 days.
🔸 SHIB price
The crypto market largely traded in the red as liquidations rose 143% in the last 24 hours to $759 million. Heavy trading, shrinking open interest (OI) and forced closures might imply leverage is being flushed out, not added.
At the time of writing, SHIB was down 3.64% in the last 24 hours to $0.00000522 following yesterday's price crash. SHIB price further fell to a low of $0.00000502 before slightly recovering.
Investors look ahead to key economic data releases this week, including the latest inflation print.
September's annual inflation rate, due out Wednesday, is expected to come in at 3.7%, according to consensus forecasts, up from August's 3.4% print. Consumer prices, which exclude food and energy, are expected to rise to 2.5% from 2.4% in August on an annualized basis.
SUI Gains 54% in Four Weeks, Outpacing Bitcoin and Ether
📈 SUI Gains 54% in Four Weeks, Outpacing Bitcoin and Ether
SUI gained about 54% over four weeks through Oct. 10, far outpacing bitcoin and ether, even as the token pulled back over the latest week. The rally coincided with growth in Sui’s DeFi liquidity, though that expansion was smaller than the price increase.
The token traded at about $1.11 at 6:50 p.m. ET, up from $0.7218 at 6 p.m. ET on Sept. 12, according to CoinGecko. The Defiant’s calculation using the same starting time and synchronized latest quotes puts bitcoin’s gain at 7.3% and ether’s decline at 0.8% over the approximately 28-day window.
For traders assessing whether the rally extended beyond the token, DefiLlama’s Sui data show dollar-denominated total value locked in DeFi rising from $458.2 million to $529.1 million, or about 15.5%. Dollar-pegged stablecoins on the network grew from $473.5 million to $500.9 million, about 5.8%, in its Sept. 12 and Oct. 10 daily snapshots. Those liquidity measures rose alongside $SUI , but do not establish what drove its price.
🔸 SUI’s Rally Included Sharp Reversals
The four-week return masks reversals. CoinGecko’s sampled history recorded SUI at roughly $1.27 on Sept. 27 and about $1.03 on Oct. 8, before its recovery to around $1.11. Its latest seven-day change was a decline of about 5.2%.
The latest daily advance also came amid wider gains. In a 45-token non-stablecoin watchlist tracked by The Defiant, 41 rose and four fell over CoinGecko’s 24-hour window at 6:52 p.m. ET. SUI gained 3.8% in that snapshot. This is a one-day breadth measure for a selected group, not a four-week return or a census of the crypto market.
🔸 Liquidity Rises, Trading Cools From September Burst
The DeFi figures measure different things. TVL values assets held in protocols in dollars, so rising token prices can lift it without new deposits. The stablecoin series measures the dollar value of circulating dollar-pegged tokens, rather than trading activity.
Just one transaction can compromise years of discreet Bitcoin activity, Cake Wallet’s chief operating officer has warned.
“If you ever spend your no-KYC coins with one of your KYC coins — which if you just let the wallet do its thing, it could do because it doesn’t know the difference — you immediately connect all of the non-KYC Bitcoin that you spend in that with your identity,” Seth said, referring to UTXO management, also called “coin control” by some wallets.
When you send a payment larger than any one UTXO, the wallet picks several and combines them as inputs to the same transaction — an easy mistake to make, Seth highlighted.
Seth added that unlike in the global South, where people have experienced more oppressive states, citizens in the West will need to “feel pain” in order to realize how important privacy is.
Still, he added that attitudes were changing and people were getting more serious about protecting their privacy.
“It has been shifting, in the last five or six years a lot of people — even in the West — are starting to think [privacy] really matters, we really need to think about this seriously now,” he said.
Using the second layer solution is not only faster and cheaper, it also offers more privacy than Bitcoin’s main chain.
While Cake Wallet supports other cryptocurrencies, including privacy coin Monero, Seth for Privacy added that he’d love it if the digital coin didn’t exist.
“If Bitcoin’s privacy got good enough that you could use it and have at least almost as good privacy as Monero without massive hoops to jump through, and Monero ceased to exist, that’s fine,” he said.
“I would much rather the thing that more people use has better privacy than a more niche tool that has perfect privacy, and that’s something that less people are using because it’s less well known.”
💧 Bitcoin treasury companies get two Anchorage routes into Sui's Hashi
Anchorage Digital will be one of the first companies to connect to Hashi when Sui turns on the Bitcoin finance network later this month.
Companies that already have bitcoin on their books can use its two routes to get cash without having to sell their bitcoin.
Sui told everyone about it at its Basecamp 2026 conference in Singapore on Thursday. Hashi’s mainnet will open in stages, with more people being able to use it as partners finish integrating it.
🔸 Atlas oversees qualified custody, while Porto assists hedge funds
The client’s choice of route is based on how strictly it is regulated. Sui says that public companies and digital asset treasury firms might not be able to directly interact with DeFi right now, so their bitcoin goes through Anchorage’s Atlas system, which is a three-party collateral and settlement system, making sure that it stays in qualified custody.
Porto is for everyone else. Sui says that Anchorage’s self-custody wallet can be linked directly to Hashi by hedge funds, crypto venture funds, miners, market makers, and liquidity providers, letting them use lending, yield, or real-world asset strategies.
Anchorage says it is the first crypto bank in the US to be chartered by the federal government. It also wants to add stablecoin liquidity to the network.
“Public companies and institutions hold enormous amounts of Bitcoin, but their ability to use that capital has been constrained by the technology available to them and the limitations of the DeFi space,” Nathan McCauley, CEO and co-founder, said.
More than 20 companies have promised $500 million before mainnet launch More than 20 companies have pledged more than $500 million to help fund the launch, including BitGo, Bullish, Cumberland, FalconX, and Ledger. But those are just promises; Sui hasn’t said how much of the money will be in Hashi contracts on the first day.
An interesting correlation was found on X: The midterm elections of 2014, 2018, and 2022 occurred around the times when BTC started to decline. The next elections are on November 3rd.
Three coincidences are, of course, not a trading strategy, and in previous cycles, there were much more significant reasons for the decline. If BTC starts to fall again in November, by 2030, it will be portrayed as an indicator. 😁
🟠 Here’s what bitcoin needs to break above $87,000
Bitcoin BTC$83,654.62 and the other majors are lower today, but zoom out and the picture is flatter than the daily tape suggests: prices have gone essentially nowhere over the past two weeks.
The choppy trading is a part of a typical stair-step rally, according to some observers, and it could soon pave the way for a move above $87,000.
The question is what would turn that pause into a firm break above the range. The answer sits in what drove the September surge: large spot ETF inflows.
U.S. spot bitcoin ETFs attracted roughly $2.6 billion in September, with the week ended Sept. 25 alone accounting for about $2.39 billion of the monthly tally. Inflows peaked at nearly $999 million on Sept. 21. Since then, however, demand has cooled sharply, with ETFs drawing $241 million last week and just $28 million so far this week.
“I read the current move as evidence that the ETF bid that carried September has not yet returned strongly enough to offset renewed macro pressure. ETF inflows above roughly $300 million a session for several sessions (my threshold rather than a market one) would be an important signal that institutional demand is returning,” Oliver Carding, head of marketing at Tesseract Group, said in an email.
Martin Lee, head of content and data insights at DWF Labs, said large daily inflows matter more than extended inflow streaks that cumulatively bring in only a few hundred million dollars.
"Looking across the year, we've had 93 out of 190 (48%) trading days be negative while still seeing net $1.2B of inflows. Longer-term (week/month) size of flows is more important compared to daily, which is almost a coin flip this year, but definitely something worth monitoring to see how the situation progresses," he said.
Meanwhile, other types of buyers are accumulating.
