BTC holds at 83,000 USD, Fear & Greed Index at 74: when it comes to this weekend’s market, what’s really lively are the altcoins.

This weekend, Bitcoin has been holding around the $83,000 line. According to the 26th’s market data, BTC was at $839,000; within 24 hours, it dipped as low as $831,000 and climbed as high as $852,000. It closed the day down slightly, at $839,000. The low was $831,000 and the high was $852,000—down 0.79 BTC for the day. ETH was at $2,688, down only 0.05% over 24 hours. Even moving along with others doesn’t seem to be in the cards.

The interesting part is the sentiment. The Fear & Greed Index rose from 71 to 74 and is still in the greed zone. Prices are moving sideways, but sentiment is going up instead. This suggests that people have coins, but nobody is willing to dump over the weekend, and nobody is in a hurry to chase.

The derivatives market is actually quite honest. In the past 24 hours, total net liquidations across the whole network were $276 million: long positions were liquidated for $137 million, shorts for $139 million—roughly half and half. A total of 77,797 accounts were wiped out. The largest single liquidation was on Binance ETH/USDT contracts: a $2.24 million long position. This kind of liquidation structure where both sides get wiped out suggests that the leveraged crowd on both long and short sides is betting on direction—but the direction never really showed up.

The real action is in the knockoffs. This round is DeFi taking over the baton: QI is up 103.57% in one day, QUICK is up 32.82%, ENA is up 13.94%, and AERO is up 18.5%. In the past 24 hours, SOL is up 3.6% to $121.61, briefly spiking to $122.94 and nearing the two-week high. SEI, SUI, and WLD are also seeing double-digit gains. Total crypto market cap is up 0.3% over 24 hours to $2.989 trillion. There isn’t much incremental capital, but liquidity inside the market is drilling down into smaller coins.

With this kind of market on the weekend, the takeaway is really just one sentence: the broader market is waiting for direction, while money is looking for work in the rotation. If you chase DeFi small caps, be careful—they can double in a day or get cut in half. Don’t treat weekend rotation as a trend.#BTC突破7万大关
