Recently placed USDT buy orders, and I noticed two price points a few lines apart: 25,793 and 26,672 VND per USDT.
The one at 26,672 is right at the top of the list, labeled as an Advertisement being promoted. That’s a legitimate feature—traders pay to appear first. Their profile is also thick with details; completion rate and number of orders are high.
It’s just not a good price for me.
Selling works the same way. The first post usually ends up earning less than the going rate. No one is setting anyone up. The list is already laid out. It’s my job to compare.
So I have a habit: two minutes before each order.
For the first 30 seconds, scroll down. Read the first five or seven new posts to see where the baseline rate is.
For the next 30 seconds, read the counterparty’s profile. Badges, completion rate, number of orders, response time. Those four lines tell you more than the price.
For the next 30 seconds, open the order detail page. The receiving account number, the transfer memo/content, and whether the account holder name matches the counterparty name on the order. If it’s off by even a single letter, I ask in chat before transferring.
Use the final 30 seconds to stop if I feel the timing is wrong. They keep urging you. You can be messaged to change the receiving account number mid-way. You can also be invited to another app to chat. If any of those happens, I stop and ask directly in chat. If I’m not still confident, I message Binance Support, 24/7.
For selling orders, those 30 seconds are for the banking app. Only after the money hits the account do you unlock. A screenshot isn’t the money yet.
These two minutes aren’t for hunting the absolute best price. It’s so the order gets completed and then you’re done—no need to come back and keep working it out. If the difference is a few hundred VND per USDT, you can figure it out. If an order needs to be disputed, it can take up an entire afternoon.
