🤗👉 INDIA WANTS TO BLOCKCHAIN ❯❯❯❯ 😭BUT FEEDS CRYPTO FOR FREE❗
One of the world’s largest economies has just made its digital strategy even clearer.
The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) remains cautious about private cryptocurrencies.
According to Governor Sanjay Malhotra, the concerns include↴
🔹 Monetary sovereignty
🔹 Monetary policy
🔹 International capital flows
🔹 Stability of sovereign money.
But here’s the paradox↴
🔥 INDIA IS ACCELERATING TOKENIZATION.
The RBI is already working with↴
TOKENIZED DEPOSIT CERTIFICATES
TOKENIZED CORPORATE SECURITIES
PROGRAMMABLE CBDC
SETTLEMENT WITH DIGITAL RUPEE
The corporate securities project connects tokenized assets to wholesale CBDC settlement, in a joint initiative with SEBI.
⥱ In other words↴
PRIVATE CRYPTO → CAUTION
but
BLOCKCHAIN + TOKENIZATION + CBDC → ADVANCEMENT
And note: this does not mean that cryptocurrencies have been banned in India.
The country still allows trading under tax, AML, and reporting rules, even though it hasn’t approved a comprehensive specific law for the entire crypto market.
However, enforcement is tightening.
In September, FIU-India notified 15 digital asset platforms for failing to comply with registration requirements and anti–money laundering prevention.
India’s strategy appears increasingly defined↴
