According to U.Today, Ripple has entered into a strategic partnership with Peersyst to enhance the XRP Ledger (XRPL) EVM sidechain. The collaboration aims to utilize evmOS, a modular technology stack provided by Evmos, to improve and further develop the sidechain, which is currently in its developmental phase. By integrating evmOS, Ripple intends to introduce EVM compatibility and increase customization options within the platform.

EvmOS, built on the Cosmos SDK, allows access to multiple chains through the Inter-Blockchain Communication Protocol. This integration aligns the XRPL EVM sidechain with industry standards and expands its connectivity within the broader ecosystem. EvmOS provides a range of features and modules designed for EVM implementation on the Cosmos SDK platform.

The XRPL EVM sidechain is set to benefit from seamless interoperability with various blockchain networks, enabling smooth asset transfers and information flow. Additionally, the introduction of evmOS Outposts will further enhance the interoperability of the XRPL EVM sidechain. These Outposts serve as gateways, connecting different blockchain networks and simplifying user interactions by streamlining complex functionalities.

Through the integration of XRPL into the interchain ecosystem, users can access a network of over 90 interconnected chains, thereby increasing the platform's versatility and potential applications. As Ripple and Peersyst work together to leverage evmOS for the XRPL EVM sidechain, the XRP community is looking forward to the potential impact of this partnership on their preferred crypto project.
