Pi Network Mainnet Date Finally Revealed?
Cryptic Messaging
Interestingly, the article only suggests that Pi Network’s mainnet release is “expected to launch" in "March to June next year” based on the “release time of the core team’s roadmap”, rather than committing to a confirmed period.
How one could deduce a timeframe as specific as March-June 2024 from a yet unreleased roadmap, however, is not entirely clear. For context, an article posted recently to minepi.com announces that version 1 of Pi’s new roadmap is expected in mid-October.
Aside from this brief glimmer of clarity, the new article only goes on to discuss the various reasons as to why a Pi Network mainnet would be a boon to the Pi ecosystem, rather than giving further details of Pi’s mainnet plans.

A False Sense of Hope?
Given the recent build-up in frustration among community members that are disappointed about the ostensible lack of mainnet progress, one might expect elation and positive sentiment among followers of Pi Network on the news. However, a glance through the comment section on original article tweet shows this to be far from the case, and some commenters’ responses are very accusatory indeed…
One commenter accused Pi of simply shifting the date, on a yearly basis, ostensibly to maintain a false sense of hope in its community: “buddy, this was already 23, just change the number 24,25,26,27 and so on”.
