**News Flash: Former FTX Exec Withdraws Petition to Vacate Guilty Plea**

Ryan Salame, ex-co-CEO of FTX Digital Markets, has retracted his petition to vacate his guilty plea on campaign finance and money-transmitting violations. Filed on Aug. 29 in the Southern District of New York, Salame's legal team stated that his partner, Michelle Bond, might address his guilty plea in her own case. Bond faces similar charges from her 2022 congressional campaign.

Salame's initial petition aimed to overturn his 90-month sentence, citing alleged government promises not to pursue Bond if he pleaded guilty. Prosecutors denied these claims. Both Salame and Bond are out on $1 million bail each.
