MongoDB beats expectations, but shares fall nearly 14% as Q3 outlook signals slower growth
๐ MongoDB reported Q2 FY2027 revenue of $771.8 million, up 30% YoY and roughly 5% above market expectations. Non-GAAP EPS came in at $1.90, beating consensus by nearly 18%.
โ๏ธ Atlas remained the main growth driver, with revenue rising about 29%. Non-GAAP operating margin improved from 15% to 24%, while free cash flow nearly doubled to $137.6 million. RPO jumped 91% to $1.52 billion.
๐ However, the company guided Q3 revenue to $756โ761 million, implying growth of about 20โ21% YoY, well below the 30% pace recorded in Q2. MDB shares therefore fell around 14% in after-hours trading.
๐ MongoDB still raised its full-year revenue outlook to $2.99โ3.03 billion, suggesting the negative reaction is focused more on near-term growth deceleration than on the quality of the latest quarter.
