$BTC Looking purely at the daily chart, the lows have been steadily rising. The price held and rebounded on all six previous retests of the weekly support zone at 82500–83000. Now it has directly retested the 84500–85000 zone, with the lows continuing to move higher.
Looking at the altcoin market, $HYPE was the first to stage a rebound, and it may be about to break to new highs again. $ZEC found short-term support near 1300. These two altcoins can be seen as market bellwethers: whenever a consolidation is nearing its end, they tend to be the first to pick a direction, whether up or down.
In global markets, US stocks hit new highs again last night, while Japanese and South Korean stocks rebounded sharply.
On the macro front, the likelihood of a Fed rate hike in October has fallen, and a hike is unlikely. Coupled with the US midterm elections, US stocks will probably continue to move higher.
As for market sentiment, the vast majority of retail investors are waiting for a pullback, while another group has started looking for prices below 60,000. Most people are bearish.
