NFA. I'm wrong often. It's now pretty easy to imagine the path on trade deals that would take BTC to $120-$130k. Not saying it def happens. But imagining the path now seems much easier than just a couple weeks ago.

🚨 ICBA OPPOSES CLARITY ACT OVER STABLECOIN “LOOPHOLE” The Independent Community Bankers of America (ICBA) is pushing back against the Digital Asset Market CLARITY Act, arguing that its current stablecoin provisions could leave a loophole for crypto companies to offer interest-like rewards or yield on payment stablecoins. 🏦 Why are banks concerned? ICBA says yield-bearing stablecoins could compete directly with traditional bank deposits. Their argument: ➡️ Depositors could move money from banks into stablecoins ➡️ Banks could lose deposits used to fund loans ➡️ Small businesses, farmers and homebuyers could face reduced access to credit ➡️ Crypto intermediaries could gain an advantage without the same banking infrastructure ICBA estimates that a large-scale shift could mean $1.3 trillion in lost community-bank deposits and potentially $850 billion less in community-bank lending. ⚖️ ICBA’s demand The banking group isn't opposing digital-asset regulation altogether. It wants the CLARITY Act to strengthen the prohibition on interest-like payments and rewards for holding payment stablecoins, arguing that stablecoins should not become substitutes for traditional bank deposits. 🔥 The bigger battle: Crypto companies want innovation and competitive digital payments. Banks want to prevent stablecoins from pulling deposits out of the banking system. The Senate is now facing a major policy question: Should stablecoins be allowed to compete with bank deposits for yield — or should that door be completely closed? #DigitalAssets #bitcoin #USDC #USDT #ICBAOpposesCLARITYActOverStablecoinLoophole
