【The top-ranked whale lost $1.2 million in a day, but didn’t sell a single token 🐋】
Guys, the Hyperliquid trader we looked into yesterday—the one at the top of the profit leaderboard—saw his account shrink by 25% in a day.
His equity fell from $4.97 million to $3.73 million. Just like that, $1.23 million was gone.
The reason is simple: $NEAR fell from 5.33 to 5.09. His 5.75 million-token, 10x leveraged long saw its unrealized profit drop from $17.1 million to $15.8 million.
But here’s the wild part—he hasn’t touched his positions. Not a single NEAR token sold, and he hasn’t changed a single one of those seven shorts in BTC, ETH, and SOL either.
Here’s what really matters: NEAR is now just 6% above the 4.8 level, down from an 11% buffer yesterday. Today’s low has already touched 5.04.
My view hasn’t changed: if 4.8 holds, the long setup is still intact, with room to recover to 6. If it decisively breaks below 4.3, that $15.8 million in unrealized profits could be dumped onto the market at any moment—and that’s the real risk for NEAR.
Two things to watch next: first, whether 4.8 holds; second, whether he changes his position. A whale’s actions speak louder than words. If he makes a move, I’ll post about it right away.
Guys, we’ve all seen how the market’s been behaving these past couple of days—on 10-13, 64 of the top 77 coins by market cap were down, with a median loss of 3.6%.
But $BTW went the other way: on 10-13, it closed with a big green candle at $2.09 (+19% for the day), and today it hit an intraday high of $2.80. Remember, it was still at $0.58 on September 15—that’s 4.8x in less than a month. Its market cap has surged to around $7 billion.
The wildest part was October 2: the largest single unlock of the month—101 million tokens, worth about $138 million—hit the market, but the price didn’t drop. Instead, it turned around and kept climbing.
Why? The liquidation data says it all: in the 24 hours on 10-13, $580,000 worth of futures positions were liquidated, and 96% of them were shorts. Earlier, on August 19, the day of Binance Wallet’s Booster campaign, the coin surged 67%, wiping out $2.09 million in short positions. A big part of this coin’s rise has been fueled by short sellers.
But two risks need to be on the table: first, one wallet holds 78% of the supply; second, the 7-day RSI is already at 77, while turnover is under 2%—it can rise fast, but it can fall just as fast.
Here’s my take, clearly: don’t chase a wick high like $2.80; if it retests $2.09 (the 10-13 close) and holds, the trend can be considered intact; if it falls below $1.83, treat it as a false breakout; if it breaks below $1.65, the acceleration phase is over—don’t try to catch a falling knife.
Keep an eye on two things next: whether that wallet holding 78% moves its tokens, and whether trading volume can keep pace with the price.
$BTW This is obviously a coin that’s bound to crash—why is it still going up? I really want to short it! I asked AI to put together some information about this coin. Every point screams “short”!
1. The price is $1.89, and it just hit an all-time high today. It’s up +227% in 30 days, more than 200 times its March low. Its market cap is $5.1 billion, but its 24-hour trading volume is under $100 million—a turnover rate of less than 2%. It’s easy to pump, and just as quick to dump.
2. Only 27% is in circulation. The total supply is 10 billion tokens, with 2.7 billion in circulation. The top 33 on-chain addresses hold 99.7% of the tokens. One unlabelled address alone holds about 78% (most likely tokens locked up by the project team, but it hasn’t been labelled officially, so I can’t verify that for you). The actual freely circulating supply is much smaller than the market cap might lead you to believe.
3. The unlock schedule is a ticking time bomb in plain sight. Another 100 million tokens unlock on November 2. More importantly, in March 2027, the one-year lockup period ends for 20% held by the team and 16.3% held by early investors, meaning more than a third of the total supply starts to be released.
Nothing even happened—why did it drop so much today? Do you know why? My main holdings are $ETH , $BNB , and $BTC . They don't seem to have fallen much either. Wasn't it supposed to be bouncing back in a V-shape?
【The liquidation king is back: a $790K account, with a $19M ETH long open 🔥】
Bros, Q-coin is unlimited—the invincible permabull Machi Big Brother is back at the table!
Yep, the same Machi Big Brother who’s been liquidated 252 times in total, and whose $50 million account was whittled down to $50,000. I just pulled up his live on-chain positions:
$ETH : Long 7,600 ETH, 25x leverage, entry price $2,515, current price $2,531, unrealized profit of $120K.
Account equity: $795K. Total position: $19.24 million—he’s leveraged his capital 24x. Margin usage is 98.4%, leaving almost no spare cash in the account.
The wildest part is the liquidation price: $2,476.5. A 2.2% drop from the current price and he’s liquidated—and ETH can move more than that in an hour. 🎲
Now for his track record: down $6 million over the past 30 days, cumulative P&L of -$34.2 million, and $1.35 million paid in funding fees alone. His copy-trading score on the on-chain dashboard: 0.
My take: this isn’t investing—it’s gambling on ETH not breaking below $2,476 in the short term. With his position right on the liquidation line and margin maxed out, any sudden wick could trigger his 253rd liquidation. Fine to watch, but don’t copy-trade—there’s no way you can keep up with how fast he deposits money.
I’m watching two things next: first, whether that $2,476 liquidation line holds; and second, if he gets liquidated, whether he deposits more money again (history says he definitely will).
Guys, I dug into the positions of MK4, the top-ranked whale, and had a thought: the addresses are public, so why not just copy their trades?
I looked into it carefully, and here’s the conclusion up front: on-chain transparency ≠ profitable copy trading. There are three hurdles, and each one is tougher than the last.
First, the latency tax. MK4’s NEAR long was entered at 2.35. By the time you see it and copy the trade, your entry price is over 5. On the very same position, he’s sitting on $17 million in unrealized profit, while you’re buying in halfway up the mountain. One team tested this for real: they mirrored trades from the top 20 wallets on Hyperliquid’s profit leaderboard, and on average, their entries were 0.3%–1.5% worse than the whales’. After completing the test, they declared the strategy useless—their exact words were, “Transparency doesn’t mean you can trade it.”
Second, you’re only copying half the trade. While MK4 is long NEAR, he’s short BTC, ETH, SOL, and seven other major coins. He’s betting on relative strength, not whether prices go up or down. Copy only the long position, and you’ve stripped away his insurance, leaving yourself exposed.
Third, leaderboards are lists of survivors. You can’t see the wallets that dropped off the rankings after suffering huge losses. Pick someone based on a short-term leaderboard, and chances are you’re picking someone who just got lucky.
My take: copy trading isn’t impossible, but you have to do it completely differently—treat whale positions as research leads, not signals to trade; only follow addresses with cumulative P&L tracked over multiple months; size positions in proportion to your own capital; and decide for yourself when to exit. Mindlessly mirroring trades means being late—and losing. 🔍
Next, I’m keeping an eye on two things: first, whether MK4 changes that NEAR long; second, whether any watched wallets are deliberately placing fake trades to fleece copy traders.
【Top-ranked whale: made $17 million on a single NEAR trade 🐋】 Guys, another absolute beast has appeared on-chain. The top earner on Hyperliquid’s 30-day leaderboard, with the ID MK4, has made over $15 million this month. I took a look at his positions and was stunned: $NEAR long, 10x leverage, entry price $2.35, current price $5.30. That one trade alone is sitting on $17 million in unrealized profit. Even crazier, the other $14 million in positions are all shorts—BTC, ETH, SOL, AVAX, BNB, XRP, and ADA, shorting all seven major coins. Combined, they’re down around $800,000. See what’s going on? He’s not betting on whether the market goes up or down—he’s betting that NEAR will outperform the market. Those seven shorts are insurance for that $17 million. 🧠 Yesterday, $NEAR surged to $6 before getting knocked back to $5.10. Today, it dipped to a low of $4.88 and bounced back. I checked again just before publishing, and he hasn’t trimmed a single unit of his long. My take is simple: if $4.80 holds, a rebound to $6 is likely. If it drops below $4.30, that $17 million in unrealized profit could be dumped onto the market at any moment—that’s the real risk for NEAR. I’ll be watching two things next: whether $4.80 holds, and whether he changes his positions. A whale’s positions are more honest than his words. If he makes a move, I’ll post about it right away. 🔍 Data source: Hyperdash / Hyperliquid on-chain data, collected 10-13 at 12:50. Not investment advice. #Near #链上巨鲸 #Hyperliquid
Today’s biggest gainer is $STRK , up 55% in 7 days and currently trading around $0.12. The catalyst: StarkWare CEO Eli Ben-Sasson said they’re seriously considering making Starknet an independent L1 instead of an Ethereum L2, and getting its post-quantum upgrade done before 2027. Ethereum itself isn’t scheduled to do that until 2029. Keep in mind, for now it’s only “under consideration”—there’s not even an official proposal yet. The whole ZK sector got a boost, with $ZK also up 12% on the day.
But I’m not chasing the rally. Honestly, I’m thinking about opening a short. This move was mostly driven by derivatives: $3.5 billion in futures volume over 24 hours, with a perpetuals-to-spot ratio of 4x. Gains built on leverage can come down just as fast. The date to watch is October 15: 127 million STRK tokens unlock, worth around $13.9 million. If the price can hold above $0.10 after the unlock hits, that suggests real buyers are stepping in, with $0.15 as the next target. If it can’t hold and drops below $0.09, consider this rally over. If the L1 idea stays all talk with no proposal, then the story is over.
In August, BitMEX co-founder Arthur Hayes wrote an article called “Yen-quake,” arguing that the US and Japan would work together to reform the Fed’s FIMA mechanism to boost the yen—effectively printing money, which would be bullish for BTC. He also named ENA, saying it had 5–10x upside over the next few months. Two months later, let’s check the numbers: ENA has risen from $0.09 when he published the article to $0.23, or 2.5x. The direction was right, but it’s still a long way from 5–10x. More importantly, there’s still been no official announcement of any FIMA rule changes—the main switch hasn’t even been flipped. BTC is still 33% below last October’s high, and ETH is 49% below. My approach is not to guess which way prices will go, but to watch three signals: whether FIMA rules actually change; whether USDe supply returns to $7.5 billion (the threshold for ENA’s buyback switch; it’s only at $5 billion now, half a billion? no, $2.5 billion short); and whether USD/JPY and gold show sustained unusual moves. Money usually moves faster than announcements. Until those signals appear, this article is just an analytical framework for me, not a trading instruction. One more thing: the original article said USDe’s circulating supply had fallen 75% from its peak, but actual on-chain data puts it at around 66% (DefiLlama, October 7). Not a huge difference, but even figures from big influencers should be checked before you cite them.
In early August, BitMEX co-founder Arthur Hayes published a long-form article (Yen-quake). His central thesis was that the U.S. and Japan would work together to guide the yen higher—not by having the Bank of Japan raise interest rates, but by revamping the Fed’s FIMA Repo Facility. Japan would use its U.S. Treasury holdings as collateral to obtain dollars from the Fed, then buy yen. This process would effectively expand the Fed’s balance sheet, and the additional dollar liquidity would ultimately drive up hard assets such as $BTC . He also judged $BTC and $ETH to be undervalued, and singled out $ENA as having room for a 5–10x recovery over the coming months. Two months have passed, making this a good time to take stock:
From Having More Than Enough to Live on to Being Buried in Debt
Tried to ride out the real estate downturn, blindly expanded the business, and lost 2 million; Leveraged up to buy the dip in stock index futures, got liquidated, and lost 3 million; In two years, I went from having more than enough to live on to being buried in debt. I’m 36 this year, and everyone calls me Baishui. I used to run a design company, and most of my clients were property developers. During the real estate boom, I made some money and managed to buy a home and a car in Shenzhen. The real estate market began to decline in the second half of 2021, but I still had new projects coming in, so I expanded against the trend, hired more people, and moved into a bigger office. In 2022, the projects were completed one after another, but the payments never came through. A few clients hadn’t even paid the deposits. Meanwhile, wages and rent meant my company’s fixed expenses were over 100,000 a month. By 2023, the property developers I worked with were going bust one after another, and there was no hope left. I disbanded the team. It was hard, but I paid every employee their severance in full—over 300,000 in total. By the end of the year, including severance, I’d lost more than 2 million.

The future of hundredfold coins absolutely includes storage! From 'cloud storage' to 'soul carriers': Why is storage the ultimate holy grail of Web3? 🚀
Many people are optimistic about AI and computing power, but often overlook the cornerstone behind computing power—storage. If computing power is the internal combustion engine, then data is the fuel, and storage is the 'container' that supports the continuation of human civilization. 1. Ultimate Demand: When the digitization of consciousness becomes possible Imagine if in the future our consciousness, memories, and emotions could be digitized and uploaded; how much data would that generate? According to preliminary estimates in neuroscience, the human brain has about 10^{14} synaptic connections. To completely simulate or store a person's consciousness, the data volume could reach PB (Petabyte) or even higher. In an era of digital immortality, the 'consciousness backups' of billions of people worldwide will create a storage black hole close to infinity.
