The market in tension: macroeconomics and crypto on one front The last few days show how strongly the world of cryptocurrencies intertwines with global politics and macroeconomics. Data from the labor market in the USA, decisions from the Federal Reserve, and trade tensions between the USA and China evoke strong emotions – not only on Wall Street but also in the digital asset market. The publication of US Jobs Data traditionally influences the dollar and bond yields, which directly translates into investors' appetite for risk. Better data often cools expectations for rate cuts, which temporarily weakens crypto. Conversely, weaker readings can act like rocket fuel for Bitcoin and Ethereum. At the same time, FOMC Watch remains one of the most closely monitored topics. Every word from the Fed is analyzed under a microscope because the market knows one thing: a change in narrative = volatility. Cryptocurrencies, as liquidity-sensitive assets, react almost immediately. On the geopolitical front, the topic of the US–China Deal and possible Trump Tariffs returns. The risk of new tariffs or escalated trade relations increases uncertainty, and in such moments, some capital seeks alternatives outside the traditional financial system. This is one of the reasons why Bitcoin is often compared to “digital gold.” The narrative of BTC vs GOLD is also significant. More and more investors are asking whether Bitcoin can actually serve as a store of value in the long term. Growing interest from institutions and further historical price movements of ETH only heat up this discussion.
