BNB was born as the native token of Binance, but it is no longer just a currency to pay fees. It is the backbone of the BNB Chain ecosystem, a fast and cheap blockchain that competes with Ethereum. It serves for trading, payments, farming, NFTs, and even games. Although it has had ups and downs due to regulatory issues, BNB remains in the top 5 cryptocurrencies by market capitalization. Its strength? Community, utility, and one of the largest platforms behind it. Binance burns it quarterly to reduce supply. But be careful: if Binance sneezes, BNB may shake.
