Byline: Reflecting on Bangladesh's Unwritten Uprising
In the official calendar of Bangladesh, there is no such date as ā36 July.ā It does not exist in our textbooks, diaries, or news reports. But for a new generation of young voices, artists, and activists, 36 July represents something far more powerful than a date ā it is a symbol of unrecorded resistance.
Born out of silence and censorship, the term ā36 Julyā began circulating among youth circles as a code word for protest, especially those that were ignored, erased, or left undocumented. It is whispered in street art, shouted in underground poetry slams, and painted on forgotten walls of forgotten neighborhoods.
In Dhaka, whispers of ā36 Julyā echo through campuses ā from TSC to Shahbagh, from the paint-smeared hands of fine arts students to the chants of students demanding justice, reform, or dignity. Each one imagines 36 July as the day when voices finally broke free ā when art bled truth, and truth became uncontainable.
> āWe donāt need a real date,ā says Limon, a student at Jahangirnagar University. āThe government owns the calendar. But we own the memory.ā
The metaphor of 36 July allows people to talk without fear. When they say ā36 July,ā they might mean a protest crushed in the news blackout. Or a student leader who vanished. Or a wall mural that disappeared overnight.
Some call it āBangladeshās ghost day.ā Others call it the countryās āimagined revolution.ā But one thing is clear: 36 July refuses to die, because the emotions it carries ā rage, sorrow, creativity, defiance ā are still alive.
In an age of social media surveillance, 36 July is the art of speaking in code. It is the language of youth under pressure. It is memory dressed in metaphor.
No, 36 July is not on the calendar. But in the heart of Bangladeshās silent fighters, it is today. And tomorrow. And every day until change comes.
#BinanceHODLerPROVE#BitcoinTreasuryWatch#TokenizedUSStocks#BitcoinTreasuryWatch chief Advisor Dr Mohammad Yunus started addressing the nation at 9:30 pm on Tuesday, August 5, 2025. ā āThe chief adviser's speech was broadcast live online, including Bangladesh Television, BTV News and Bangladesh Wireless. ā āA special rally was held on the occasion of the "July Mass uprising Day" on the southern premises of the Jatiya Sangsad Bhavan of the capital. This day was celebrated on August 7 last year to commemorate the fall of Sheikh Hasina government, which was an anti-anti-anti-movement movement of people of different levels, including students. The importance of the united democratic movement and future plans was discussed at the rally. ā āAt the rally, the Chief Advisor Dr. "Declaration of July" reads the roadmap in democratic reforms. Muhammad Yunus. In the address, he announced that the Chief Election Commissioner will send a letter to determine the date of the thirteenth parliamentary election, so that the polling management will be completed before the Ramjan next February 2025. ā āDr. Yunus finally said, "As part of the revival of democracy, we will request the Election Commission to announce the day and schedule of the thirteenth parliament in February." āThrough this, he emphasized on organizing a neutral, transparent and timely election to bring the country back to the post -autocratic political stability. ā āThe BNP party supported the nominated date and wanted more in advance. Jamaat-e-Islam has indicated participation in the Islamic election, but it will think of alternative paths if they do not get a neutral land. In addition to criticism in response to the other party, a section says that the appointment of basic international observers is important before the elections are held. ā āAugust 7, 2025 Dr. Muhammad Yunus's speech is going to bring new activities to the political arena of the country. In order to successfully complete the elections in February 2025, the administration and political parties will have to work unitedly to resolve all crises, including the Election Commission. ā ā#BuiltonSolayer
