Warsh Tells Markets To Trade Data As Fed Holds Rates Steady
Federal Reserve Chair Kevin Warsh told markets to stop trading his intentions and start trading the data after the Federal Open Market Committee held rates steady in a 9 to 3 vote. The statement kept the federal funds range at 3.50% to 3.75% with no forward guidance, according to BeInCrypto, while Warsh said inflation remains above target and the Fed will deliver price stability. The 10-year Treasury yield eased to 4.620%, SPY rose 0.17% to $742.00, and Bitcoin traded near $64,237, up 0.84%.

US Launches New Wave of Strikes on Iran's Revolutionary Guard as War Escalates
The US launched a fresh wave of strikes against Iran targeting its Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps in response to attacks on American military bases in the Middle East, escalating a conflict spreading across the region, Bloomberg reported. US Central Command said in a Wednesday night post on X that forces struck dozens of IRGC targets including military command centers, missile and drone facilities, coastal surveillance and defense sites, and maritime capabilities, aiming to further diminish threats to American forces, commercial shipping, and neighboring Gulf countries.The strikes followed a surprise Tuesday-night assault in which the Guard Corps fired multiple ballistic missiles at a US military base in Jordan, ending a brief lull meant to advance diplomacy, Bloomberg said. US officials said all incoming missiles were intercepted, but the attack sent oil prices soaring. Brent traded near $90 a barrel after rallying almost 8% in the prior session. The war has widened, with US and Saudi forces striking Iran-backed militias in Iraq and fires erupting aboard LNG tankers at Egypt's Damietta port. Qatar, meanwhile, sent its first LNG shipment through the Strait of Hormuz since one of its tankers was struck three weeks earlier.
