BNB was pushed back down to around 760 after hitting resistance near 800, and many people are calling a top. But I took a look at the data, and price and fundamentals are starting to diverge👇
📌 Tokenized stocks/ETFs on BNB Chain are worth around $1.1 billion, accounting for roughly 30% of the entire sector 📌 Binance’s October 6 Proof of Reserves: BNB reserve ratio of 100.47% 📌 The 37th quarterly burn is expected in mid-October; the previous one (in July) burned around 1.616 million BNB 📌 The zero-fee stablecoin promotion has been extended through October 31
The short-term pressure is real, too: · Selling pressure is concentrated above 800, and derivatives longs have just been liquidated in a wave · The Fed meeting minutes come out tonight (early Thursday morning Beijing time). If the tone is hawkish, the broader market could take another hit
Lao Yang’s take: In the short term, watch whether 760 holds; in the medium term, keep an eye on the burn figures. A second attempt at 800 will probably have to wait until both the burn and the Fed minutes are out of the way.

Oil prices break above $100, and $BTC is the first to buckle? Old Yang explains what’s really driving this downturn 👇
BTC briefly fell to 83,840 this morning, breaking below 84,000—a level many institutions call the “bears’ victory line.” This time, the trouble isn’t coming from crypto itself; things are heating up elsewhere:
• Iran has stepped up attacks on oil tankers in the Strait of Hormuz, pushing Brent crude to around $101.5 • The U.S. dollar is strengthening, and the 10-year Treasury yield has climbed to 5.31% • Higher yields are weighing on risk assets, and crypto is cooling off along with them
What’s more worth watching is the divergence in fund flows: • On October 6, spot BTC ETFs saw net inflows of around $119 million • On the same day, spot ETH ETFs saw net outflows of around $202 million That’s why $ETH has fallen harder than Bitcoin, slipping back to around 2,610. The 2,500 level is key support.
$BNB has held up relatively well, staying around 767. In Binance’s latest proof of reserves, BNB’s reserve ratio is 100.47%. Its 37th quarterly burn is expected in mid-October, and the market is waiting for that catalyst.
Old Yang’s key levels: If BTC holds above 83,000, it can catch its breath. If it breaks below that, it could quickly test 80,000. It won’t be truly stable again until it climbs back above 87,000.

The U.S. government just moved 40,285 BNB. Are you worried?
On-chain tracking (Arkham, Lookonchain, and others) shows that wallets linked to the U.S. government transferred the following within nine hours: • 833.6 $BTC went straight to Coinbase Prime, worth about $71 million • 40,285 $BNB took several hops and ended up at an unlabeled address, 0xBE7…81E, worth about $31 million
Yang’s three takeaways: 1️⃣ BTC going to Coinbase Prime looks more like custody or asset-disposal procedures; it doesn’t mean an immediate sell-off 2️⃣ BNB is more worth watching: seized tokens can be disposed of more flexibly, and several hops to an unlabeled address can sometimes be a prelude to a deposit at an exchange 3️⃣ Don’t spook yourself: the price barely reacted when the news came out, and $31 million is no big splash in the BNB market
There’s really just one thing to watch: where 0xBE7…81E sends the coins next. If they go to an exchange, they might be sold; if they go to a cold wallet, it may just be a change of address.
The broader market was already under pressure today from oil prices and U.S. Treasury yields. BTC briefly fell below 84,000, while BNB was in the 760s. With expectations of a quarterly burn in mid-October added to the mix, would you buy here or wait?

$400 million liquidated in one hour, 97% of it longs. But at the same time, something else was happening on the Binance chain 👇
This morning, $BTC plunged from 85,500 to around 83,800 in one go. CoinGlass data shows that about $404 million in long positions were liquidated within an hour, with $ETH longs getting wiped out more than BTC longs (about $155 million vs. $116 million).
A lot of people panicked when they saw this. Lao Yang has three data points for you—make up your own mind:
1️⃣ Binance BTC net outflows hit a nearly 3-year high: In the week ending September 27, net outflows were about 23,000 BTC, followed by another 14,300 BTC flowing out in a single day on October 6 (CryptoQuant). When coins are moved to cold wallets, it usually means they’re not about to be sold. 2️⃣ Whales are sending stablecoins to Binance: Cumulative 30-day inflows rose from $21.7 billion to $30.5 billion, up 40%. That’s ammunition. 3️⃣ This liquidation event accounted for only about 0.27% of total open interest across the market, with roughly $150 billion in open contracts still outstanding. Leverage hasn’t been fully flushed out, so another sharp wick down could come at any time.
Lao Yang’s take: Retail traders are getting liquidated on leverage, while whales are accumulating spot. $BNB was also pushed back from $800 to around $760—just like this, leveraged positions get forced out first.
So the question now isn’t whether we’ve hit the bottom; it’s whether spot buyers can absorb the selling pressure.

Binance has launched AI, but I’d advise you not to rush into handing it your money.
On October 5, Binance unveiled Binance Intelligence. Here’s a quick look at the three offerings: • Binance AI: A free assistant for market briefings, profit-and-loss summaries, and price alerts. Briefings update every 4 hours, and access is rolling out gradually by region. • Binance AI Pro: Describe what you want in a sentence, and it automatically generates an editable trading strategy. Rolling out gradually in the second half of October. The Advanced plan costs 19.99 USDC/month and is required to connect to live and simulated trading. • Binance Agent OS: An interface for developers, launched in August, with over 280,000 daily calls already.
Three thoughts from Lao Yang: 1️⃣ The information gap is closing. News that used to take checking ten chat groups to find out about may soon be delivered to you by AI every 4 hours. Making a living from being “first with the news” will get harder and harder. 2️⃣ AI won’t take the losses for you. Binance itself says that the decision to execute—and when to execute—rests with you. 3️⃣ It’s a plus for $BNB: The longer users stay on the platform, the easier it is to tell the ecosystem’s story. AI agent payments and tokenized US stocks are also being integrated with BNB Chain.
For now, $BTC is still struggling below 87,000, while $BNB is holding around 780. And AI can’t predict the next candlestick either.

Solana’s largest wallet just “embraced” BNB Chain 👀
Around October 1, the Phantom wallet added native support for BNB Chain. That means tens of millions of Solana users can now enter the BNB ecosystem with a single tap.
Even more importantly— BNB Chain’s zero-fee stablecoin campaign has been extended through October 31.
The data speaks for itself: Reports say around 985,000 new stablecoin-holding addresses were added in one week.
A gateway for traffic + zero-cost transfers + a surge in users, the flywheel driving on-chain growth is spinning faster.
The cross-ecosystem connection between $BNB and $SOL is worth keeping an eye on. How long do you think this growth can last? Let’s talk in the comments 👇 Follow me for the latest on-chain updates.

473 million XRP are heading to Nasdaq—is this a new source of buying demand, or another “buying at the top” story?
XRP treasury company Evernorth’s SPAC merger with shell company Armada II has been approved by shareholders. The companies expect to close the deal on October 7, with trading on Nasdaq under the ticker XRPN beginning October 8.
Lao Yang highlights three key points: 1️⃣ Scale: At closing, Evernorth is expected to hold about 473 million $XRP , making it the largest publicly listed treasury company dedicated solely to XRP. The deal itself is expected to raise roughly $300 million in gross proceeds. 2️⃣ Backers: Ripple, SBI, Pantera, Kraken, and GSR are all among the investors. 3️⃣ Risks: The shell company’s shares have already risen about 273% over the past week. Around 80% of the trust funds are expected to be redeemed, leaving a very small public float and potentially extreme volatility.
Lao Yang’s take: Treasury companies are a way to move crypto into the stock market, which could bring in more demand over the long term. But crypto has seen plenty of “going public at the top” stories. For $XRP itself, I’ll be watching for sustained buying after trading begins, rather than getting caught up in first-day excitement.
One more thing: the ETF staking narrative around $BNB is still gaining momentum, and traditional investors have more and more ways to get involved.

BTC was turned away again at the 87,000 mark, while the Fear & Greed Index has already surged to 70. At times like this, those who chase the rally are most likely to get stuck holding the bag.
Lao Yang was watching three metrics this morning: • Spot BTC ETFs have recorded net inflows for a third consecutive week, with about $241 million last week. Institutions are still buying. • ETH ETFs, however, have seen several consecutive days of outflows. ETH is hovering around 2,700 and clearly underperforming BTC. • BNB is holding around 790 and has been more resilient than the broader market during pullbacks. The market is also anticipating its 37th quarterly burn around mid-month.
My take: 1. Unless 87,000 is broken with strong volume, we’ll likely see more back-and-forth price action. Don’t go all in chasing the rally when sentiment is at its hottest. 2. Capital is being selective: BTC is getting institutional money, BNB is benefiting from its ecosystem, and ETH needs to wait for funds to flow back in. 3. Keep an eye on the FOMC minutes and Treasury yields this week. A shift in the macro picture can change the market’s rhythm.

Mid-October is approaching, along with the 37th quarterly burn. The last one burned about 1.62 million coins. Burns reduce supply, but price still depends on demand. Tokenized stocks and ETFs on BNB Chain have reportedly surpassed $1 billion. For RWAs to truly go on-chain, what matters is whether institutions are willing to use them. BNB is more than a trading token—it’s also the fuel behind this narrative. Tap $BNB Check the trend and trading volume, then decide your own position. DYOR; this is not a token recommendation.
VanEck is bringing staking back to its spot BNB ETF, with BitGo as custodian and Figment running the validator nodes. Mid-October is approaching, along with the 37th quarterly burn. About 1.62 million tokens were burned last July. Burns reduce supply, but price still depends on demand. In the short term, don’t bet solely on burn day; first see whether ETF staking and on-chain assets can continue attracting inflows.
Tokenized stocks and ETFs on BNB Chain have reportedly surpassed $1 billion. As RWAs move on-chain in earnest, public blockchains are competing over whether institutions are willing to use them. BNB is not just a trading token—it’s also the fuel powering this asset-on-chain narrative.
VanEck has added staking back to its spot BNB ETF filing, with custody handled by BitGo and Figment serving as the validator. Institutions can earn network rewards while buying BNB, making this more worth watching than price moves alone. BNB has also held up better than the broader market recently; the question now is whether capital actually flows in.
BTC/ETH ETF outflows on the same day, yet SOL is stronger: why fund flows and prices are not moving in sync
On September 16, the U.S. spot ETF daily flow report showed a highly asymmetric set of figures: $BTC had net outflows of $295.9 million, $ETH had net outflows of $224.1 million, and $SOL had net inflows of $0.84 million. Combined, the first two saw total net outflows of $520 million. In the price window as of 9/17 ET, Coinbase data shows BTC up 1.18%, ETH up 1.80%, and SOL up 4.94%. In the prior UTC day, the SOL/BTC ratio rose again from 0.00128096 to 0.00129190, up about 0.85%, while ETH/BTC was essentially flat. The easiest story to write is: “capital rotated from BTC and ETH to SOL.” But that’s precisely where caution is needed. ETF daily flows, secondary-market prices, and cross-coin ratios use different cutoff times, and ETF orders may also lag behind the actual risk decisions. There is relative strength here, but there isn’t yet a single, uniquely identifiable rotation causality.
After the FOMC, why is the first candlestick the easiest to mislead?
After the announcement was released, $BTC dipped from about $75,681 before the event to $75,337 (-0.45%), but by 14:05 ET it had already returned to $76,031, and by 16:00 ET it further rose to $76,198 (+0.68% vs. before the event). $ETH also showed a directional structure of falling first and then regaining.
If you only take the first move, you’d get “FOMC is bearish for crypto.” But if you only look at the rebound five minutes later, it turns into “the market welcomes the FOMC.” Both takes are too simplistic.
At the very moment major news is released, the order book thins out. Stop losses, algorithmic trading, and leveraged liquidations can all happen at the same time. The first candlestick often reflects position unwinding first—it doesn’t necessarily mean the market has fully digested the statement, the rate outlook, and the subsequent path.
But a V-shaped rebound doesn’t automatically mean policy is certainly dovish either. It could come from short covering, a surprise versus expectations, changes in the dollar and U.S. Treasury yields, or price corrections after liquidity returns.
Event trading should compare three points instead: the pre-news baseline, the post-news extreme, and the stable level one to two hours later. The first candlestick tells you the market was hit; the subsequent price action tells you whether the shock was absorbed.
Next, watch whether $BTC and $ETH can continue to hold levels from before the event, whether open interest in perpetuals declines, and whether other major exchanges can reproduce a similar path.
