A notice published by OKXICE TSV on October 26 named Intel, Oracle, IBM and IonQ as the latest companies to oppose trading their shares on the planned tokenized stock trading venue, bringing the total number of objecting companies to 26. The notice did not explain why the companies objected or how filing an objection would affect their shares’ eligibility to trade on the platform. The platform plans to let approved users trade tokenized U.S. stocks around the clock on OKX’s XLayer blockchain. The latest notice warns that it remains unclear whether tokenized stocks held in self-custody wallets would be protected by SIPC if the broker-dealer of the tokenization issuer were to fail.
Bitcoin climbed back above $80,000 on Tuesday after briefly falling below that support level, as markets awaited Wednesday’s Federal Open Market Committee (FOMC) decision. ETH, XRP, and DOGE held steady. Coinglass reported that a total of $133.56 million was liquidated across 63,835 traders over the past 24 hours. SoSoValue reported that spot Bitcoin ETFs saw net inflows of $110.3 million on Monday, while spot Ethereum ETFs saw net outflows of $88.6 million. Alex Thorn of Galaxy Digital said Bitcoin’s bear market ended at the June low. However, near-term volatility and unresolved market-structure issues could hinder a recovery.
IBM, Oracle, Intel, and IonQ have refused to allow blockchain-based trading of their shares through OKXICE, bringing the number of companies whose issuers have objected to 26. OKXICE is a joint venture between cryptocurrency exchange OKX and Intercontinental Exchange, the parent company of the New York Stock Exchange. Of the 62 companies initially selected, 23 have objected, or about 37%. The SEC’s framework requires trading platforms to give issuers 30 days to object before offering tokenized stocks. Industry experts say these objections may indicate that issuers want clearer shareholder protections and a better understanding of trading revenue before participating.
A poll by the DeFi Education Fund and Ipsos found that 72% of respondents said it was somewhere between somewhat and extremely important for politicians to support the development of financial technology in the United States. Ipsos released the results Tuesday from the survey of 1,545 people, conducted in September. The poll found that only 13% of respondents considered it very or extremely important for candidates to support the growth of blockchain, cryptocurrency, and DeFi. The survey was conducted about two months before the 2026 midterm elections, when cryptocurrency policy and legislation could influence how voters cast their ballots.
Amid heightened uncertainty across the market, Ark Invest sold approximately $15.9 million worth of its spot Bitcoin ETF holdings. CryptoProwl reported that the company, led by Cathie Wood, reduced its holdings of the ARK 21Shares Bitcoin ETF across its investment funds. Earlier on October 27, Bitcoin was trading near $79,700, down about 6% so far this month. The sale may have been part of portfolio rebalancing to comply with Ark’s limit of no more than 10% in any single holding, rather than a change in the company’s long-term outlook for Bitcoin. The transaction does not indicate whether Ark reduced its overall Bitcoin exposure across all of its portfolios.
According to Bitcoin News monitoring, Electrum released version 4.8.3 on October 24, 2026, to fix a security vulnerability that had been exploited in attacks. When users increase transaction fees via Replace-by-Fee (RBF), a malicious server may trick them into signing a transaction that pays an attacker’s address. Electrum said the wallet had received two related reports, one of which involved a user losing bitcoin after increasing a fee. Electrum recommends that users install version 4.8.3.
Chainalysis reported that during the internet shutdown from February to May 2026, Iran-related Bitcoin transaction activity initially fell by about 80%, then recovered to more than 75% of its baseline level. After restrictions began to ease in late May, activity rose to nearly twice the baseline level. Cloudflare observed that internet traffic had only partially recovered. Bitcoin data cannot show how many people were able to access funds reliably; Chainalysis also provided no transaction-level evidence linking the rebound in activity to any specific method of circumventing the restrictions.
Investors remained cautious ahead of Wednesday’s Fed decision, with Bitcoin down 2.43% and on track for a third consecutive weekly decline. Markets put the probability of interest rates remaining unchanged at about 86%. In a Tuesday analysis, Wintermute said Bitcoin must reclaim the $82,000–$82,500 range to restore bullish momentum. A sustained drop below $80,000 could send it down to $76,000, while a more flexible stance from the Fed on its December meeting could push Bitcoin back toward $82,500. Thursday’s release of the September inflation report poses another risk of a renewed sell-off.
Robinhood plans to offer Ripple’s dollar-pegged stablecoin RLUSD through its app by the end of 2026, potentially reaching millions of customers. Robinhood reported that it had 28.6 million funded customers as of the end of August, but neither company has disclosed how many customers are eligible to use RLUSD. The partnership also includes RLUSD settlement on Bitstamp and Robinhood’s plan to adopt Ripple’s treasury software. Robinhood has not announced any changes to its agreement involving the competing stablecoin USDG. It remains unclear whether RLUSD and USDG will be offered in the same product.
Futures traders see a 90% chance that the Fed will leave interest rates unchanged on Wednesday. Market attention has shifted to whether rates will be raised in the future and how officials will communicate the policy outlook. CME FedWatch data show a 75% chance of a rate hike at the December 8–9 meeting. Inflation data for September and third-quarter growth figures, due Thursday at 8:30 a.m. ET, will test these expectations. Independent analyst Nadeem Zidan wrote that a clear signal favoring a December rate hike would push yields and the dollar higher, testing Bitcoin’s support at $79,000. Zidan added that gold could rebound if the policy stance turns more dovish.
