This puts the SEC in a position where they must choose between ramping up enforcement or adapting to this reality with clearer guidelines." Steve Milton, former Global Marketing VP for Binance, further emphasized, "The meme coin by the Trump family is a step forward and two steps back for crypto. The Trump era was all about innovation and less competition in the US, but if there is a meme coin from them, that opens up a bigger gray area (regulatory vacuum). Speculation with meme coins is something the SEC should prevent. If the former President is doing it, this can only increase the regulatory uncertainty."
