#o que an election does not make// $BNB #SolanaStrong SAO PAULO, Oct - DI rates were trading higher this Thursday morning, with the curve in Brazil once again reacting to the electoral scenario, in a tight race between Senator Flávio Bolsonaro (PL) and President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT) for the Planalto. While awaiting the new Datafolha poll, scheduled for early evening, investors showed caution in the DI market. At 10:09 a.m., the Interbank Deposit (DI) rate for January 2028 stood at 12.8%, up 9 basis points from the previous session's adjustment of 12.775%. At the long end of the term structure, the DI rate for January 2035 was at 12.785%, up 4 basis points from 12.743%. In the most recent election polls, Flávio remains ahead of Lula in voting intentions, but the gap between the two appears to be narrowing. On Wednesday, Quaest indicated a 1 percentage point difference in voting intentions, with the two tied technically. In addition, Flávio's rejection rate is 5 percentage points higher than Lula's. A trader heard by Reuters cited the drop in Lula's rejection -- which the day before had already supported rates -- as one of the factors behind the rise in the curve this Thursday.$BTC # The reading among many market participants is still that, with Flávio in the Planalto, the chances of greater control over public accounts increase -- even though the candidate and his economic spokespeople have so far not presented concrete adjustment proposals. #BinancePick

Lagarde warns that higher financing costs will weigh on consumers’ energy consumption Macroeconomic allocation managers are reassessing energy demand forecasts following public remarks over the weekend by European Central Bank President #BCE , Christine Lagarde. In a speech on Saturday about volatility across asset classes, Lagarde noted that the recent sell-off in sovereign bond markets is actively pushing up financing costs across the single-currency bloc, tightening financial conditions and constraining overall economic growth. Lagarde warned that this market-driven tightening will make it significantly harder than #BCE had projected last month for European households and industrial companies to absorb higher fuel and energy bills resulting from the ongoing conflicts in the Middle East. With the #BCE widely expected to deliver another rate hike in December—taking its policy rate into restrictive territory at 2.75%—high capital costs are expected to weigh on gas-powered industrial activity for the rest of the year

, - The meetings of the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank last week offered no new answers for the developing world on issues raised by the war spreading across the Middle East, the ongoing war in Ukraine, rising debt costs, and a possible AI bubble. It is not the first time low-income countries have been shaken by the repercussions of actions taken by the richest nations: rising debt-servicing costs, higher inflation, and the risk of falling further and further behind economically because of the AI boom.$MSFTB
