Sharp spike in $BTC futures activity — equivalent to +22K Bitcoin moved in just a few hours.
Short positioning is clearly dominating right now. When you see this kind of concentrated short buildup in a compressed timeframe, it's worth watching for either continuation if bears hold structure, or a sharp squeeze if longs reclaim key levels and force covering.
Futures open interest shifts like this don't happen in a vacuum. They reflect positioning ahead of a move, and right now the bias is tilted short. If price holds support and starts reversing, that's a lot of fuel for a squeeze. If it breaks down, shorts pile on and momentum accelerates lower.
Watch the reaction at current support zones. If $BTC reclaims and holds above recent range lows with volume, that short stack becomes a liability. If it fails, expect follow-through selling as more shorts enter and stops get hit below.

V4 transforms Uniswap from a fixed AMM into a programmable liquidity layer. Hooks let developers inject custom logic: dynamic fees, automated buybacks, LP management, anti-MEV mechanics, limit orders. The singleton architecture cuts pool creation costs, flash accounting improves routing efficiency.
What stands out: Hooks turn the pool itself into a product. Projects can now design their own trading and liquidity mechanics instead of copying the same structure. V4 already processed hundreds of billions in volume — this isn't infrastructure waiting for users, the liquidity and activity are live.
