🔔 Breaking: zkLink Nova bridge hacked, with nearly $800,000 drained

🔹 An attacker manipulated the zkLink Nova bridge on the Ethereum network by submitting a forged batch root.

❌ The exploit enabled unauthorized withdrawals without burning the corresponding tokens on Layer 2.

🏦 The vulnerability resulted in the theft of ETH, stablecoins, and staking tokens from the bridge’s reserves.

🔴 Preliminary estimates put total losses between $786K and $805K.

⬅️ Market impact: The hack negatively affects confidence in the security of the zkLink Nova bridge and Layer 2 applications. However, the amount of funds lost (approximately $800K) is relatively small and is unlikely to put significant downward pressure on the price of ETH.
