Apple has revised its insider trading policy to prohibit employees from using confidential information obtained through their work to bet or trade on prediction markets. Apple submitted this policy update in its annual filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). The prohibition applies even when applicable law does not classify the activity as insider trading or securities trading. Employees are also prohibited from sharing relevant confidential information with anyone who might engage in such trading.
