#美国中期选举倒计时,美股博弈窗口已开启?

U.S. inflation has not cooled significantly, while the U.S. economy remains resilient. The Federal Reserve may need to keep interest rates high for longer, or even raise them further.

BTC: Short-term bearish. Expectations of high interest rates will weigh on risk appetite, and investors may reduce their allocations to crypto assets. If BTC rebounds but fails to break through key resistance while open interest (OI) rises, watch out for a buildup of leveraged long positions. Personally, I lean bearish.

U.S. stocks: Growth-oriented tech stocks are under pressure. Rates staying high will reduce the present value of future profits, making highly valued tech stocks more vulnerable. Pay particular attention to semiconductors, AI, and high-valuation growth stocks. However, U.S. GDP grew at an annualized rate of 3.4% in the third quarter, so I remain optimistic in the long term.

Gold: Under pressure in the short term, but that does not mean the longer-term outlook has fundamentally changed. Rising rate expectations typically increase the opportunity cost of holding gold. If the dollar and Treasury yields strengthen together, gold may remain under pressure. If the market instead becomes concerned about recession or geopolitical risks, gold may still attract safe-haven buying. Watch the 4,000 level.

What should we focus on next?
Whether the Fed raises rates in December: Pay close attention to upcoming inflation and employment data, as well as officials’ comments.
Treasury yields and the dollar: Assess whether expectations of tighter policy are continuing to strengthen.
BTC price and OI movements: Watch whether declines are driven by spot investors pulling out or by leveraged liquidations.
Performance of U.S. tech stocks: If prices keep falling despite solid earnings, it may indicate that the market is lowering valuations.
