Cryptocurrency exchange HTX has exited the UK after reaching a settlement with the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) over a financial promotions case. UK customers cannot deposit or trade. Eligible customers must obtain approval to withdraw their remaining assets during a single 48-hour window. Access depends on the applicable licensing conditions and HTX’s compliance and security reviews. The court undertaking given by Huobi Global S.A. in relation to unlawful financial promotions remains in effect until October 21, 2031, but that date does not mean trading will resume then. The FCA said the confidential settlement does not include any admission of misconduct or liability by Huobi Global or any other party.
