BlockBeats reports that on October 26, the Wall Street Journal published full-page paid ads over the past two days with the headline “YOUR STOCK. THEIR TOKENS. YOUR PROBLEM.” (“CEOs of publicly traded companies, take note: Your stock, their tokens, your problem”), warning the public about the risks of tokenized stocks.

The ad was funded by the U.S. conservative nonprofit Common Sense Leadership Fund and aims to warn that the crypto industry will tokenize company shares in “unregulated venues.” It lists eight major risks: pricing discrepancies, unclear ownership, impaired capital raising, cyber theft, market manipulation, AML loopholes, lack of investor protection, and potential legal liability.

Previously, a total of 22 companies, including major firms such as Microsoft, Goldman Sachs, McDonald’s, and Alphabet, had filed objections. The document outlines the rules related to the OKX-ICE partnership project and lists the companies that filed objections, but does not specify their reasons for objecting.
