Recently, a wave of projects exclusive to Agent ID holders has emerged on BNB Chain. I tried them out using my own Binance Agentic Wallet (rocketjackxbt.ai) and documented the process, costs, and returns for everyone’s reference.

1. What is an Agent ID?

An Agent ID is an on-chain identity for AI agents, provided by Binance Agentic Wallet. It takes the form xxx.ai and is linked to a BNB Chain address. Many new projects check the official registration contract in their smart contracts, allowing only wallets with an Agent ID to mint or claim. So it’s essentially an “AI identity pass”—the barrier to entry is clear, and there aren’t many early participants.

II. HashDroids: Proof-of-work minting with revenue sharing

- How it works: Use proof of work to “mine” an NFT. Only Agent ID wallets can mine.

- My cost: 0.0025 BNB for #6.

- Revenue mechanism: Whenever someone mints one afterward, 70% of the minting fee is split among all NFTs that haven’t been burned. To claim your share, you have to burn your NFT, and you also receive HDROID tokens.

- Progress so far: More than 380 have been minted, out of a total supply of 8,192. The revenue share accumulated by my NFT is already close to 3 times its cost.

- Risks: All revenue shares come from later minters, so it gets harder to earn as time goes on. The HDROID liquidity pool is small, and the price is volatile. The contract is open source, has no owner, and doesn’t allow withdrawals, which is reassuring.

III. Gearz: Refund if the sale doesn’t sell out

- How it works: Each Agent ID can mint up to 5 Cogs. I minted all 5 for 0.0255 BNB.

- Highlight: If all 47,500 Cogs aren’t sold by October 30, you can get a full refund, limiting the downside risk.

- Current status: Only a few hundred have sold so far, and bids on the secondary market are below cost. I’ve decided to hold and wait to see what happens.

IV. SHANIU: Claim tokens at almost no cost

- How it works: Agent ID wallets can claim 120 tokens for free, paying only a small gas fee (less than 0.0003 BNB).

- Current status: Trading hasn’t started yet.

- ⚠️ Someone is already promoting a “SHANIU” with a different contract address. Be sure to verify the contract.

V. Projects I passed on

That same day, I also came across some Agent-only projects with contracts that weren’t open source, inconsistent pricing, copied template pages, or newly registered promotional accounts with zero followers. I stay away from all of these.

VI. A few lessons learned

1. First check whether the contract’s source code is verified, then check whether the owner can pause it or withdraw funds.

2. If you can pay directly with BNB, don’t approve token spending. If you really have to approve it, set a limited allowance.

3. Copy contract addresses only from official channels. Many addresses casually shared on X are fake copies.

4. Start with small positions. The Agent sector is still very early, and project quality varies widely.

The Agent ID sector is just getting started, so both the opportunities and the risks are at an early stage. I’ll continue tracking these projects and share updates if there’s any news.
